Hello, there was import capability added to Scrivener for a cloud service the iPhone app writeroom syncronizes with. Just weeks after that, the online service changed to simpletext.ws and I cannot get import into Scrivener working, has this feature been abandoned weeks after it´s introduction or am ...
They probably recruit just the best to run the App Store under prime working conditions, but the increasing amout of fart apps and political currectness to take care of might make things difficult at the moment.
great news that there will be another tool for writers on windows, there are a few around already which have some good features. I hope Scrivener will improve and continue to be competive among the great tools available for writers on mac platform. It for sure is unbeatable in marketing success. :D ...
just bringing forward a wish for a feature I really wish your app would have. like it is now, it´s nothing special, you can do that in many other apps (which, however, do not use the "note card" methaphor). I do have supernotecards in addition to scriv, so i am fine. the "note cards&q...
as an alternative visualization, or "additional" info. like in supernotecard, actually. The cards are in folders, WITHIN the folder they can be arranged, where arrageing them contains more information than just linear order (x) or what ever you might want to call it. Not sure why anyone ge...
the "note cards" in scrivener are really just a gimmick since they cannot be arranged in x-y. I actually like that supernotecard has a grid, so I do not have to waste time with arranging overlapping cards on the workspace. If scrivener could implement a possibility to order cards in rows a...
this software is perfect for developing fiction stories, it has all the features that are missing from any other app I tried! I really do hope you will be able to keep up work on this project.
great that it now has .rtf export, looking very much forward to scrivener export!
drspk: great everything works for you and for speaking for all of us, you rock, man! But: how about beginning a scene in scriv and then... having to leave and sit on a train/plain/snow scooter? such situations, you know, make me wish for 2-way sync. ( ...btw. I am coming from windows mobile/PC and I...
sure. I do use wr on the iPhone, sync to writeroom.ws, the iPhone app is why I am using this in the first place. What I meant to say is that it would be way cooler if Scriv could sync back to writeroom.ws (to get stuff one currently is working on to the iPhone) now one has to do this via writeroom.w...
a- also find that the fullscreen mode is impaired as described b- writeroom.ws: have to re-enter password all the time, so just opening writeroom.ws in safari and copy&paste seems faster c- writeroom.ws: it seems to work just 1 way, from wr into scrivener, so I have to open writeroom.ws in safar...
You can use copy and paste into another app that would sync, you can email your text, you can use wifi. you could even use phoneview. but it´s not sync it´s manual copy and paste. After finding out yesterday about the offer I installed and tested a bit, I also asked about sync related issues, securi...
