I have just installed the update and unfortunately, it does not fix the issue. Scrivener is still not syncing my projects and is crashing (closing).

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

What I wanted to ask is: you put on a command and it started copying a project. How did it know which project to copy? It just took the most recent one? I don't think your shortcut is a good option, because my projects are now not all together in a Scrivener folder anymore on my iCloud Drive, which...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

Since a fix may tale a while, I have to move forward since my work cannot wait ... Although it is not recommended, I'm using iCloud to sync. Choosing this way, it is important to watch the project files completing to sync on iCloud once updated on the mac. Recently, the visibility if a project file ...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

you can probably move more - in the end I only had one project that crashes the whole sync - but unfortunately it’s an important one.... Well, don't get me wrong. I certainly appreciate to hear about workarounds that may help to keep on writing and syncing. However, for me the main issue is: It wor...

Re: Post your Scrivener screenshots here!

I like to spread out Scrivener, to give the inspector and binder the room it deserves. 8)

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

Yes, that’s the way Thomas Rabenstein is doing it right now, as I know. And as this seems to be working fine I really wonder if it couldn’t be possible to just let Scrivener edit in place a iCloud file and make everything super easy for everyone. Yes, this is correct and it works fine. However, it ...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

Yesterdays dropbox update has not fixed anything. I still can't get Scrivener to sync my project files without crashing.
Any solution in sight?

Re: System voice (Mac)

Looks like a bug in the operating system to me. I get the same result when using Edit ▸ Speech ▸ Start Speaking command in any program at all. Yes, but strange is: If I use the hotkeys to start speech, Siri comes up correctly and is reading the editors text or the marked section. Greetings, Thomas

System voice (Mac)

Hi team, Voice output is something I am using on a regular base to let the system reading loud my manuscripts for me, to check how it sounds. Finally in Catalina it's possible to choose "Siri" as the system voice which sounds much better than our aged "Anna". Switching to Siri, t...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

That's like saying it makes no sense to use separate file folders when you're filing all of your various papers from over your life time. I mean, they're all in the file cabinet, right? Well, it comes down to the point, how Scrivener has been coded to sync with Dropbox. I can hardly believe the dev...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

Maybe that’s why I haven’t had any problems? I have all my Scriv projects in a Db folder called ’Scrivener projects’, but I have my active projects in a subfolder ’Active projects’ and that’s the one my iOS Scriv is syncing with, not the parent folder. This would not work for me since I am working ...

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

Glad to hear that trimming the folder down helped. That’s something I’d recommend doing periodically anyway. The design intent for this feature was always within the threshold of syncing what you are presently working on. Hi Amber, I'm glad you are looking for the concerns of your Scrivener users. ...
