Re: Cost of Windows 3 version

You all might want to think about putting the time and the words you're wasting in a L&L forum into more productive writing. You know, like the novel you're all so worried about that you must take the time for excessively wordy comment here. Or that short story you're all so intent on writing. O...

Re: How to open my project written in beta-version on Scrivener 1

You can download the latest Beta release 17 here: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=40621 Install it over your previous installation of the Beta. With the beta versions, you might want to check for updates before the current beta expires on [ whatever date you get not...

Re: Is Scrivener for PC worth it?

Keep in mind where your hard-earned money has come from and remember all the other expenses already paid for electricity, a computer, and the Internet to even get to the point to consider their software. That 50 bucks a year that Ulysses demands for the privilege of using it comes to mind immediate...

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

I run Scriv v3 on three Win 10-64bit laptops with Windows Security, MalwareBytes Pro, and Windscribe VPN. I've not had any problems with auto-updating v3 to date.

I've not set exceptions to the any of the above software, either.

Re: Windows Taskbar Application Name

On my Win 10 laptop, the taskbar will show the current project's full path name in a white box. You need to hold the mouse over it for a second or so longer for the white box to appear.

Scrivener is pinned to my taskbar. That's where the white box file name appears over the pinned startup link.

Re: Celebrating ONE YEAR as a monthly published writer

I use it myself, I turn to them when writing essays, term papers - they cope with everything

If that is truly the case, Jeremy, why haven't you graduated by now? Hmm? Hmm?

Re: Scrivener for Windows

I'm sick of . . . installing software every few months Ya, that five, count'em, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5, minutes (is it even that long?) of install time really robs you out of producing content for your next work, doesn't it? I'd reckon people waste more time doodling or tipping back the chair to look up...

Re: expiry warning message

according to messages here, that isn't working So you've tried it, then? I expect you're running the most recent version 1.9.16.0. If not, download it. If that doesn't help, and you can't find you license information, send off an email to L&L and solve the problem. As mentioned above, there are...

Sundry apps for attempting to remove backgrounds, which never worked well.

Olivio Sarikas has a number of videos on using Affinity Photo to remove backgrounds.

Re: Affinity Apps: Making your book look beautiful at 50% off.

I went to Pixelmator's web site and took a look. Their software appears "similar" to Affinity Photo. There appears to be plenty of source videos to show one how to use it. Beyond that, I can't comment on Pixelmator. Affinity presently has a 90-day free trial for any or all of its three pro...

Re: Affinity Apps: Making your book look beautiful at 50% off.

What this software is capable of doing for anyone motivated to turn their indie-published e-books into print is amazing. I'm so happy I picked it up at a discount months ago. I found the learning curve for Publisher to be a bit of a pain, but once the software clicked, it became easy-peasy. Highly r...

Re: Affinity Publisher! It’s alive! ALIVE!

As of January 19, Affinity has a 50%-off sale. Still not convinced? In that case, try the more than generous 90-day free trial offer. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/90-day-affinity-trial/ I just finished another print book cover using Photo. Once again I'll be using Publisher to do the formatting ...
