Re: Dutch dictionary missing

Dutch is available, but for mysterious reasons it appears that it's being alphabetised based on "Netherlands" rather than "Dutch", so you'll find it down in the N section of the list. I'll put in a bug note about that. Australian and UK variants of English are also in the downloa...

Re: Newbie Struggling with Compile (wrong font)

Have you tried already the font override in the main compile window? Go to File > Compile, select the file format at the top and then the compile format you want to use on the left, and in the centre of the window, above the display of the section layouts used for formatting the manuscript documents...

Re: Compile-Missing text lines

Thank you, we're looking into this. In the meanwhile, you may be able to work around the problem by changing the tool that Scrivener uses for PDF conversion. If you have Microsoft Office installed, you should be able to tap into that to create the PDF. To do so, open File > Options, select the Shari...

Re: Text cut off at right edge of main editor.

I'm aware of this display bug when in Scrivenings mode (unrelated to fixed-width editor); if it is the same issue, you should be able to find a sweet spot of right/left margin padding and editor zoom level that will ensure the full text is displayed, though I understand you've already been fiddling ...

Re: Update to Scrivener 3 - all text in Folders has disappeared

Isla, I am sorry to hear your upgrade process didn't go smoothly! I think the fastest way for us to help resolve this will be if you can email support directly at windows.support@literatureandlatte.com. If you're able to include a copy of the zipped backup of the project that would've been created w...

Re: How can I download RC 21 before March 31st?

The best option here I think would be to follow essentially the steps you would with a new RC, but using the official release: ⋅  Download the trial version of 3.0. ⋅  Without uninstalling your current beta, install the trial, choosing the same location for the installation as yo...

Re: Can't launch RC 19 on W7

From the log file, it looks like you're missing a Windows text-to-speech voice for the current language setting. Check in your Windows settings and try installing/enabling a TTS voice. ( This Microsoft article should get you started.) A while back we did have a crash that a few people ran into from ...

Re: [LH4928] <$custom:> broken in 2.9.9.18?

Thanks for the report! I've got this on the bug list. A workaround, at least for the first post, would be to put the metadata tag in the compile layout's "Prefix" pane and tick the box to put the prefix after the title. That at least avoids the bug of the document title being used for the ...

Re: [LH4913] Short Story Project - Compile shifts text to new page

Just a general FYI, all of the templates are in the process of being overhauled for 3.0. The templates in the current release are not always quite correct from either being just directly ported from the Mac or only slightly updated from the 1.x version for Windows when not all the compile settings w...
