wish for more choices for text scale percentage zoom viewing

Right now, Scrivener provides these text scale/zoom percentages: 50%, 75%, 90%, 100%, 110%, 125%, 150%, however, for me, the sweet spot range is somewhere between 125% and 175%. When adjusting the viewing size, I find myself wishing for more increments in this range, rather than just 125,150,175. Ke...

Re: Scrivener will be compatible with iPad 1?

Gosh, I'm one of those who have not upgraded to iOS 6 -- sticking with 5 - because I want to retain Google Maps. So, Keith, you're forcing the issue: it's either Scrivener-iPad or Google Maps. Tough choice.

Will Scrivener run on iPad 1 ?

Hi Keith and Jenny

Will Scrivener iOS be usable on the original not-New iPad 1 ?

If it clearly won't be able to, then giving us that advance notice, might help prevent some of us buying second-hand iPad-1's only to discover it can't run our favourite software.

Thanks

Re: Microsoft pays Keith for Windows Phone version

But if there is cash available for doing something you were going to do anyway, let that be Microsoft's problem! :D Yes, therefore Keith should strike while the iron's hot. I don't own a Windows Phone, and don't intend to, but in principle I'd be nice for Scrivener to be available on all major plat...

Re: Microsoft pays Keith for Windows Phone version

If one were to assess this as an isolated characteristic -- which it is not -- then one could pity Microsoft or find it scary etc. But, if you see this with brutal market-force realism -- that the first to market (iPhone and Android) usually have an unassailable advantage, of having more apps becaus...

Microsoft pays Keith for Windows Phone version

Hi Keith Microsoft is funding the development of popular apps in a Windows Phone version, so you might get some free cash from Microsoft to do Scrivener for Windows Phone too. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/06/technology/to-fill-out-its-app-store-microsoft-wields-its-checkbook.html?_r=1&ref=tech...

Re: What about the iPhone?

I realise development for the iPhone Scrivener is probably under way, and my comments can't affect the basic structure of iPhone Scrivener, but I'll comment anyway. I see iPhone Scrivener to be a quick note taking tool where the writing is made directly into Scrivener rather than having to import. G...

Re: Scrivener for iPad?

As a Scrivener fan, I just have a sense of caution -- just like an English cricket fan might feel when England is the No.1 cricketing nation in the world ... the sense that the iPad version is too good to be true ... Scrivener's synching with SimpleNote was, at least for me, so complex and convolute...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - What Do You Want? [PLEASE READ FIRST]

This is the scenario. I'm writing with Scrivener on my Mac. I have to go out, so I shut down Scrivener-Mac, Dropbox syncs the file. I walk out the door with only my iPad (iPhone). While on the road I open up the file on iPad (iPhone) and do some edits. Back home, I first allow Dropbox to sync, then ...

Re: Scrivener 2.2 for Mac Now Available

Hi Keith, just for the record, Scrivener 1.0 was the single software that caused me to shift from PC to Mac (but back in those days you said Scrivener would never go to PC ... but I've never regretted shifting to Mac, so thanks) ... but Scrivener for iPad could cause me to get an iPad, which I've th...

Don't get me started on the MacBook Air and its glossy screen. See the following:

Re: Scrivener 2.2 for Mac Now Available

I read through the list of updates for 2.2, and am not sure that I'll get to use hardly any of them, although I appreciate the new Kindle formatting features. Scrivener is approaching Microsoft Word's level of maturity where most people just use a range of basic features. I feel Keith could, however...

Re: Scrivener Mind Map facility (not importing)

I looked at your "Board" concept, and would actually prefer that to a conventional mind-map facility. Your Board concept would fill my needs to the T. I just need something graphic because, in spite of having to write, I think visually.

Re: "TheBoard" - feedback wanted on simple brainstorming app

I'd prefer something like Keith's proposed "Board" rather than a traditional mind map that has all the arms emanating from one source, and imposes on us a style of arms structure. Keith's board seems more free-form, which is how I'd do it with pen and paper.
