Re: Feature Requests / Suggestions

I'd like line colors, but I think the idea behind Scapple is to allow us to get ideas and *basic relationships out of our heads and into a visual representation quickly. Certainly, I use it to ponder large and small scale connections and line colors would help, but that's not the function of the app...

Favorites

Usually when I post here I find that I have overlooked something that's already part of the program. Therefore, I now post this. :P I think it would be really cool if there were a toolbar button for the favorites list. I find the favorites list very handy for writing related documents and I find mys...

Links to notes

I searched the forum to no avail. I tried to make an internal link to a note in the notes window by control-clicking the highlighted text, choosing Scrivener Link, then New Link. Doing so created a crash, although the option was available. This was in the notes window reach by clicking the toolbar n...

Re: Scrivener for k12 writing instruction

I do all my lessons in Scrivener. I find it most helpful when updating lessons after trying them in class. The Binder is great for that.

For my masters I stored everything related to it in a project, you could do the same with lesson materials.

Re: Numbering paragraphs when compiling?

Having once before found this list I cannot find it again. Searching for "Placeholder Tags List" in Help has no results. Which term should I use?

Re: Using Microsoft Word to write and edit documents?

If I understand, you want to have Word docs outside of Scrivener, which you would like to be inside a project for the purpose of arranging them. You can drag them in and move them inside the binder just so.

Re: Creating outline from WITHIN a document

I use Cloud Outliner for Mac. It makes some artefacts to clean up, but I can paste an outline from it into Scrivener.

Re: Switch to Binder Command

Thanks for the responses. I learned something from everyone. It turns out I wanted CTRL-TAB, but didn't explain myself well.

I'll use all these commands, now.

Thanks,

J

Switch to Binder Command

I understand "Enclosing Group (^ cmd– R)) allow me to switch from a doc I am writing in to the Binder. My issue is that I am not sure how to type the "^". No matter how I get there, the command just enters a "^" in the doc in which I am writing. This is going to be one of th...

annotations & footnotes

I suspect I missing something. When I try to place a footnote or annotation, I cannot end them. I can't switch back to normal text. Any text continues as a footnote or annotations. What have I missed?

Thanks,
