Re: Using Scrivener for iOS for all or most of your Scrivening?

Well, look at that! I do use Scrivener on iOS for most of my writing! I hadn't noticed until the question was posed. I find, as others have, that Scrivener on iOS creates more opportunity to write, and so I have more words and more projects, but they are more unfinished words and more projects, whic...

Re: How to Fix Scriv's Biggest Problem?

This topic has been a concern for me, as well. I simply (when working with others who must have Word files) Copy the change, paste the change, accept the change, repeat. I also keep a top copy of the finished Word file. I also import the Word file to Scrivener. It isn't ideal, but Scrivener is diffe...

Re: Favourite Feature/s so far....

I'm checking and re-checking and eager. What they've shown us looks great, and provides features I have been wanting. I can't decide if Compile or Styles makes me happier. The doc I am not finishing refuses to make a TOC without crashing. I'm not solving that mystery, so I suppose I am procrastinati...

Re: Minor Compile improvements

I second options A & B in the initial post and if that amounts to "Draft from previous" I'm for that, too.

Does anyone know if V3 has any of these?

Re: Best way to convert PDF to RTF

Most important for me is line spacing and the text itself. Is that faithfully reproduced?

Re: About Scrivener 3

I only buy software from companies that have a philosophy of "helping the user use the software," not "helping the user work under the software." PCalc, HoudahSpot, and Scrivener are such products and I evangelize them all. I've never felt L&L abandoned me. They've always ste...

Re: Table of Contents Has Wrong Page Numbers

I'm afraid I still don't understand. Do you mean this: TOC entry in TOC of project...1 TOC entry in TOC of project...2 as well as: Document in project as TOC entry in TOC of project...1 Document in project as TOC entry in TOC of project...2 So they appear: TOC entry in TOC of project...1 Document in...

Taking offense is a choice as much as not upgrading.

I cannot wait for Scrivener 3! I'm all googly.

Re: Any hints on coming 3.0 features...

Scrivener is a great damn program. It does 99% of what I need and it is not designed, really, to "roundtrip" as some say. Yet, it does so for me. I haven't (after years) plumbed the depths, and it nonetheless revolutionized my writing and my teaching. Further, developers deserve money for ...

Re: Any hints on coming 3.0 features...

Software is hard. Supporting multiple platforms is hard. Maintaining a schedule when it is impossible to know what hurdles there are to be faced is hard. L&L are good people. They know stuff that helps us use the software that is so hard to make. They make the hard to make thing easy to use. The...

I can only anecdotally say non-beta macOS did not do this as I can't at this time revert.

I have a project with 113 items in it. For the last 3 weeks or so, I'll delete a line in a file, any file, and the text will double before being deleted. Yesterday, text stretched before being deleted, and today all the files in the project would not display text when a file was selected. I restored...
