The author, Randy Ingermanson, claims to have used his Snowflake Method to outline several of his novels and discusses it in his blog: https://www.advancedfictionwriting.com/blog/

Re: Search in Synopses

Click on the magnifying glass, then select the options you want. I'm glad you showed me that. I think I already came across that in another tutorial document but didn't notice specifically the 'Synopsis' option. But back to my originally query, is 'Search in Synopses' an option in the Edit > Find m...

Search in Synopses

Within the Tutorial in the 'Going Further' chapter in the 'Searching' document is this paragraph: Other Find Tools Other find tools can be found in the Edit > Find menu, such as Find by Formatting, which allows you to search the text for particular formatting (e.g. italics) and Search in Synopses, w...

Re: Scapple Window not Showing Up with UpGrade OR Trial Load :: Mac osx 10.9

My guess is the Open dialog box is popping up behind another window you have open.

If not, can you select File > New or File > Open to get a Scrapple document to display?

Re: An alternative to NaNoWriMo?

I believe I might give this a go. Same user name in that forum. At the very least it will be a way to justify fiddling with the new Scrivener 3 options for a full 90 days.

Re: Aeon Timeline + Scrivener Synchronization

All I can tell you is that I 1. Launched my timeline in Aeon that had been synced to the Scriv 2 version of my project. 2. Selected the Scriv 3 version of my project via Sync > Scrivener... and then choosing the new version 3. Saw that all my events had yellow exclamation points next to them, and 4...

Re: Safari Extension

I mostly use Quiver for research, and PopClip to capture web-pages into it (as well as selected content from any other app). It would be excellent to be able to capture content into Scrivener via PopClip. There is a Pop-Clip extension: http://pilotmoon.com/popclip/extensions/ And it still works in ...

Re: Aeon Timeline + Scrivener Synchronization

My first try resulted in every single section/event being unlinked. Unless someone recognizes what I did wrong, I'm looking at having to manually re-link 162 sections as events in Aeon.

Re: Spell check not working in projects?

So even though I've changed the global setting in the Preferences menu, I must also activate it in each project I open via Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Check Spelling While Typing ? So the Preferences > Corrections > Correct errors as you type option doesn't actually do anything? Seems like selecti...

Re: QuickReference panel: Comments/Footnotes on the right

Since DyCham said it was possible in S3, I had to figure out how. In the QuickReference panel, select the dropdown that defaults to 'Editor' and choose the 'Comments/Footnotes' option. When you do the Comments are displayed below the Editor pane in the QuickReference panel. But just to the right of ...

Pretty sad 'Apps for Writers' page in the Mac App Store without Scrivener!

Re: Aeon Timeline + Scrivener Synchronization

Any advice on how to update a sync using Scrivener 3? I have a project authored in Scrivener 2 for Mac that I have sync'd with Aeon 2 to create a swoopy timeline. When I open that project in the new Scrivener 3, it updates the project into Scrivener 3 format as a copy. It isn't immediately obvious h...

Is the 'Compare' feature in Snapshots robust enough to support 'editorial review'? Potential workflow using Compare feature for editor to use Scrivener 1. Re: Making Figure and Chapter Numbers in Scrivener

Chuck,

Page 7 of your very helpful PDF showed that you have a number of interesting and possibly helpful templates already designed (e.g. Artwork, Clipping, Correspondence, etc.). Any chance you would create a blank project with those templates in it to share as a Scrivener template?

Re: Common Binder asset between projects possible?

Thank you for reviewing and responding. I've been looking for days and the closest that I can come up with is bastardizing the Scratch Pad since it is constant between projects. I wish the Scratch Pad supported nested folders, but alas I'm certain my abnormal application is NOT what he intended in b...
