Well, at least until it's figured out you don't have to suffer. Whatever you do, don't mess with that setting again!

Re: Spell check not available[ADDITIONAL INFO]

If it's the foreign language factor, then it won't get fixed until they open up to other dictionaries. But maybe there is a way for the install to install English anyway for those of you in other countries.

Re: 12th DEC - LEE'S UPDATE

All I know is we are definitely progressing quickly towards a amazing finished product. With this update I'm finally able to compile and it keep the things I need. Meaning soon I will be able to print my manuscript with out having to switch to OpenOffice or Word for a long period of time to pull it ...

Re: Edit > Options > General > "Show start panel" not sticking

As it turns out, it is not just that setting that isn't sticking in the Options menu. I know the "Use Block Insertion Point" will also not save a change to the check box. Mine is stuck off and someone else on THIS THREAD has it stuck on. I played with a few others but everything else seems...

Re: Cursor is a long black line...[BUG LOGGED]

It's ironic, you can't get rid of it because it won't save your Block Insertion Point setting being turned off, and I can't DUPLICATE it because it won't saving my turning ON the Block Insertion Point. I want to tell you to try to revert back to your defaults in the Options menu, but I can't remembe...

NEW Title Page

I know a few of you have had some compile woes with the Standard Novel Manuscript title page. Some of you might not even realize its the title page causing the problem, but it is. If you try to compile, using the built in Novel Template with the Title Page included, your result will end up thousands...

Re: Startup Lag

[LOGME]Just for my own curiosity could you make a NEW project file saved on the computer itself, and then save and re-open it. Just to rule out if it's because it's on another drive and not the main CPU. Though this shouldn't have THAT much of an effect. I'm also curious as to whether your dropbox w...

Re: Scrivener Beta 1.4 Crash on importing RTF with hyperlinks

Lee might want an e-mail of the file since the import CRASHED Scrivener (lee AT literatureandlatte DOT com), but the hyperlinks not working is already listed on the known bug list:

"No image or links work on import"

Re: AutoSave

This is indeed something that is different form many programs. I prefer it this way, but I can understand that changing one's thinking about an auto-save can be difficult. HOWEVER, that being said. If you are making a change and want to undo it, there is CTRL-Z to undo an immediate change. Or you ca...

Re: 1.4 Compile bugs

So, at first I was baffled by this, because my compile has been acting SO MUCH NICER since the 1.4 upgrade. Then I realized that the error you are experiencing is specific to the title page of the Novel template, and that Lee definitely knows about it. He said this in another thread: As far as the p...

Foreign language compatibility for the Beta is still not anywhere close to fully functional I don't believe. Still a work in progress!

Re: Apostrophes disappear when importing .rtf files

[LOGGED]Finally replicated this sucker. You know I must love you guys when I'm installing bleeding Word 2007 on my laptop just to get this to happen. Anyway, it is specifically smart quote apostrophe's made on Word 2007 RTF files. The opening and closing smart quotes do not vanish, and import fine. ...
