I'm not sure I understand completely. My approach would probably be to create styles in Word first. Then you can manually apply styles (if there are many of them) to the new text that you bring in. Also, for basic Word documents where I only have one or two styles set up, I add new text by copying f...

I saw DOA today, first day out in USA. I went to the first showing of the day—only one other customer, sitting halfway down, center seat. I enjoyed DOA, despite bad lines and bad moments. I love martial arts, even when the director must cleverly compensate for actors who are not skilled. I had fun...

My favorite font changes over the years. When I write journal entries in Word, for example, I still use Joanna, a very nice, simple, serif. At one time I used Joanna for all my writing in Word. For fiction writing in Word I like Legacy Sans, which in some ways resembles Gill Sans. I even print out d...

If I were to enter a contest like this, I would want to know what the judges were looking for. Polished appearance? Intuitive user interaction? Sophisticated or clever program language? Does it do something more or less fresh? (e.g., “not another program launcher is it??â€

Sweet!…You've already seen the DVD?? DOA is opening in theaters here in USA on June 15. How totally lame! The rest of the world is so far ahead of us…sometimes.

Other than that, I'd chime in. That's not "declining taste". That's "developing taste". Excellent! Thank you! I assume, then, that I will continue to show developing taste by going to see DOA (Dead or Alive), an entirely plausible saga of three bikini clad female martial artists...

Still, you know one of the Transformers story writers praised Scrivener on his blog? That makes me very happy. I did not know. Bravo. I salute him as well. And what's wrong with wanting to see the Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons on the big screen anyway? Let...

where to store avatar image??

Some of the people on this forum (let's call them sophisticated internet users) have little graphics called avatars that display under their name in the posts. I know how to create a small gif image to use as an avatar. But where on the internet do I place the image so that the forum can link to it?...

A declining taste in movies??

I’ve noticed that my taste in movies has deteriorated over the years, and I wonder if this is happening to anyone else? I used to make a point of seeing good, mature, thoughtful films, often European, films that addressed so called important issues. For example, some years ago we drove into Beverl...

I’ve been using Scrivener for less than a month and am exploring various ways of using it. For years I’ve been using Word and WordPerfect for all my journaling, fiction and non fiction. I continue to use Word for my tantra journal which is formatted for daily entries. I am in the process of migr...
