Re: New Mac user due to Scrivener

I'm also a new Mac user because of Scrivener.

Apple is doing well out of Literature and Latte!

Re: Error when accessing Windows-created file on Mac (EDITED)

I'm having the same issue. I created my original file on Scrivener 2 on the Mac. I then successfully opened it into Scrivener for Windows and have been working with it. Yesterday I tried to open the file in Scrivener 2 for Mac, and I get the same "An exception was thrown" message when I tr...

Re: 4TH NOV - LEE'S UPDATE

Great progress, Lee. The font properties fix and the indent are the two features that I've missed most, and having my control navigation buttons act as my fingers/brain expect will be a treat. Since I turned off auto-correction and spell check, my lagging text problems have stopped, but will be nice...

Re: 2nd NOV - LEE'S DAILY UPDATE

Lee, you're doing a great job! Like many others, I've used a frightening variety of software for writers. Some programs frustrated me, some were helpful for a time but eventually made me feel trapped by their rigidity, most had one or two things that I treasured, and almost all of them helped me in ...

Re: Scrivener Crashes in fullscreen mode, when mousewheel used

I played around with this one and was able to reproduce it consistently under certain circumstances. Mousewheel locks up Scrivener consistently when I select my Manuscript folder (which is my draft folder, so I'm selecting the whole book), select Show Text View, press F11 for full screen, and start ...

Re: Crashes when clicking on "Research"

This sounds very much like the bug I encountered in my "Characters" folder in post http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=9078 I thought I got rid of that problem by deleting the troublesome file, but in fact it's recurred now - in the same Characters folder. Vane...

Re: 29th Oct Version - Can't Change Index Fonts under Corkboard

I'm also having this problem. Here's what happens. (the message will only let me upload 3 images although I have 5, so I'll put in the ones that seem to show you most) 1. I went to Edit --> Options --> Corkboard --> and noted that Fonts, Index title and index text both showed Calibri 8 (image corkbo...

Re: Double click on folder in binder locks up Scrivener

Aha! With your observation, I started doing some detective work and it turns out I had 1 presumably corrupt text file in that folder that was causing all the problems. I'm including the details of how I got rid of the lockups just in case someone else has this problem and needs to fix their project ...

Re: Double click on folder in binder locks up Scrivener

This is strange, I haven't had anything similar happen with any of my current projects. It's like your Character folder itself is glitched. In fact on my computer it won't even allow me to TOUCH your Character file without Scrivener crashing... That's interesting, Mightygitis. I did have a crash of...

Re: 29th Oct - LEE'S DAILY UPDATE

Hi Lee
Thanks for the update. I downloaded Scrivener exe and installed it in my program folder. So far as I can see, all the bug fixes/enhancements work as you describe in your daily update for the 29th

Using Windows 7 64 bit
Great work - hope you get some sleep sometime :)

I missed prior posts too when I first posted about this, because the problem has been reported with different descriptions by various people. That's what the versatile English language does for us!

Install template

I'm trying to install a downloaded Scrivener template; the template has the extension .scrtpl Here's what happened: 1. I placed this template in the folder C:\Users\Vanessa\AppData\Local\Scrivener\ProjectTemplates, it did not show up in Scrivener. 2. I created a new Template in Scrivener, then searc...

Re: 28th Oct - LEE'S DAILY UPDATE

Lee, thanks for the update. You're doing a great job chasing bugs. I've been involved in software development in the past and appreciate how challenging the bug chase can be. I'm very impressed at the effectiveness and speed with which you and the rest of the L&L team are ploughing through these...
