Good to know, thanks! I really want something light and simple for summer traveling.

Netbooks for use with Scrivener?

Does anyone know of a netbook that runs Scrivener at an acceptable speed?

Re: Editor settings don't apply to Corkboard?

That said, you shouldn't be getting any kind of indent in the synopsis fields, for either Outliner or Corkboard. You're getting a result where the first line of the index card is inset a bit from the left edge of the card, and the second line and beyond is flush? Yes. But not consistently. It's onl...

Editor settings don't apply to Corkboard?

Don't know if this is a bug, or just how things are 'sposed to work: I have my editor paragraph format set to no indent, and 8 pts space after. But if I edit synopsis text while in Corkboard, it uses indents and no space. This is just a little disconcerting when your eye has become used to the other...

Re: "Scrivener for Dummies"

Well, I picked the book up on Saturday. I'm about 100 pages in, and I've already found three things I didn't know about (or missed in the manual, entirely possible) AND a bunch of other stuff makes more sense to me now. So I recommend the book for any other newbie who needs a more gentle, slower app...

Re: "Scrivener for Dummies"

Brian, thank you for your reply!

Yes, it sounds like a book I will need. I *did* read the manual, really, except for a few chunks that I didn't think I'd ever need, but it was too much to take in at once.

A little more hand-holding is helpful sometimes. :)

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 2: The Revenge

Like everyone else, I had so much fun writing AND reading this. (Siren, don't feel bad: I, too, thought my chapter might be set on the space ship -- luckily I asked, first.) What first struck me on reading was how coherent the PLOT was despite how much the characters morph. (Who was it who had a cha...

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 2: The Revenge

Montree, no, you had it right, I wanted a blank line between paragraphs.

And between your help and Robert, I now have them! Yippee!

But what a sneaky way to hide that control.

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 2: The Revenge
BethCutter, in scrivener it's under format>text>spacing. i use 8pt. on the after option. i've found this feature to be a life saver when formatting for electronic applications.
Um. I must be doing it wrong. I found that command, thank you, but it only seem...

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 2: The Revenge

Whoops, only put a single # between scenes. Will go fix. BTW, when I got the assignment I could see how I could POSSIBLY write 1500 words for such a little action piece. So why is the final count 3900 words? Ans: many many years of training in loquacity by NaNoWriMos. Oh, and I put a 'end of chapter...

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 2: The Revenge
also, did you want indents or spaces between paragraphs? define indents pls if that's your preference, or how big the pace between paragraphs if block paragraphs are preferred. :D
Sorry, off topic, but I wasted at least an hour trying to find how to make Scr...
