Re: 29 crashing on opening docs

I just installed on my Windows XP netbook after uninstalling beta 26 and there's no issue at all but my Windows 7 is still having the issue. :-\

Re: BETA 029 RELEASED

There's no set date yet. From what I've seen the current estimate is that it will be out before November (and the accompanying NaNo rush).

Re: 29 crashing on opening docs

Yeah, I just tried this multiple times too and nothing changed. Scrivener still crashes.

Re: 29 crashing on opening docs

Lucky you, garpu. I have to ask are you using Beta 29?

Hopefully Lee can figure out what's causing the rest of us to crash.

Re: 29 crashing on opening docs

I can confirm this too. A bit worrying since I like to have a few different projects open at once. I now can't open anything in Scrivener from the Recent Projects Menu. I can open them if I go to the project folder and click on the .scriv. Doing this with one project open and trying to open another ...

Re: LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 029 RELEASED

Thanks for all the hard work, Lee! There's one thing that's been an issue throughout all the betas. When you change the background for Fullscreen mode and then go to change the zoom on the view the range of numbers in the scroll menu is blacked out until you put the mouse over the values. The same t...

Re: Wishes and Hopes

Hmm. I wonder how deep that stack is. What I saw was not being able to back out a few steps via Undo. Few = 5 maybe. I would think a stack of 20+ might be somewhat realistic; 50 would be better, or let us set our own stack depth according to need and memory? Wouldn't think state is too expensive in...

Hmm, that's odd. It's working fine in all my projects.

Re: Modified Date - May be a bug?

You're quick. I was just coming back to change this to an "oops" because I wasn't giving Scrivener enough time to save and modify what I was looking at (and quite possibly because my computer was having a very slow moment). Everything's working as it should. :) I should know better than to...

Modified Date - May be a bug?

So I was playing around with the metadata columns that I wanted viewable in outliner mode and noticed that the "Modifided Date" on documents seem to only correspond to when the document was created. Usually "Modified Date" is for when something was last changed on the page instea...

Re: Screen resolution & font size

The font looks smaller in Scrivener at 100% zoom because in Word and other applications they've just set a different zoom setting as their 100%. There were more technical aspects that were discussed but I don't remember them off the top of my head. To get the same size appearance in Scrivener, adjus...

Re: No carriage in Synopses

I believe this is more something we can toggle on and off depending on what we prefer. The synopsis is what we see on the notecard when we're in corkboard mode so that's why it's tied to that specific toggle.

Re: No carriage in Synopses

Go to Tools -> Options -> Navigation Tab -> Untick "Return ends editing synopsis in corkboard and outliner. You'll now be able to use the return key in the notecards.

Re: V025: Keyboard Short Cuts

Ctrl - seems to be used for both zooming out and the strikethrough function. That might be why when I was trying to use it earlier the strikethrough wasn't being applied.

Re: Strike through shortcut

There's shortcut right now but in the next beta there have been a lot of shortcuts updated/added. Hopefully that's one of them.
