Re: a few things . . . .

Uhm, i mean when i right click in a cell and select table or go to the format>table menu when one selects one of the add row options it only adds one row. so if i'd like to add 10 rows i have to go through the same process 10 times. If you go to Format -> Table Properties, you can add multiple rows...

Re: a few things . . . .

2. presently, when using the table function in Scrivener, one can only ad one row at a time. it would be more efficient if one could add multiple additional rows/columns as needed in about the same number of key strokes as when adding only one row/column. I'm not sure what you mean by 2 but if you ...

Re: Scrivener 1.0.3 Install & Start up Failure???

It was advised that the beta versions were to be uninstalled before installing the official release to prevent any lingering issues. Upgrading to 1.0.3 from the Updates option only updates certain files within the application, not the whole application. I would think the best option would be to back...

Re: back up to external

You shouldn't be taking single files from within the Scrivener folder because you're whole project is stored in that folder. Your best option would be to make a zip backup then email that to yourself. This can be found under File -> Back Up. Scrivener also has the option to create back ups when you ...

Re: Textdocument jumping up and down after editing

This sounds like you have typewriter scrolling enabled. From your description it doesn't sound like you're in fullscreen mode so to disable this feature, go to Tools -> Options -> Editor then untick "Typewriter scrolling in new projects."

Re: Help needed.

I think what you're talking about is the ruler. It's under Format -> Show Ruler or the keyboard short cut is Cntrl + Shift + R

Re: Can I edit the metadata on multiple items?

To do this in corkboard mode, you select all your cards, then right click and change the label and/or status. I would think this would also apply in outline mode.

Re: Can you set scrivener to only use unformatted plaintext?

To match the formating in Scrivener, you just have to use "Paste and Match Style." The keyboard shortcut for that is Ctrl + Shift + V.

Re: Modified Date meta-data is wrong

This is Keith's explanation of that from this thread, here: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16302 The reason is that in Scrivener, it's not just the text that is the document - the document is the whole thing: the text, the notes, the synopsis, the meta-data. So "...

If you have the Formatting Toolbar displayed there should be an arrow you can select next to the highlight pen to change the color.

Re: How to get color-coding in the Binder view?

The option you're looking for can be found by going to View -> Use Label Color In then selecting the binder. You can also toggle the color for other locations like the Corkboard and Outliner.

Re: Corkboard suggestions

Under Tools -> Options -> Corkboard make sure "Allow dropping dragged items onto cards" is unticked. That should take care of the problem of making items subdocuments.
