Re: Has Windows Version 3 Been Scrapped?

So there are these two friends, Kev and Leon. Kev and Leon are both excellent chefs, but they live in different countries so have access to completely different stuff. One day, Kev invented this fantastic recipe for a completely new dish. Let’s call it Ratatouille. It was incredibly popular, but it ...

Re: What's your favourite displacement activity?

I’ve got a very complex system in place designed to make sure that I never have to actually, you know, write something. Firstly, I make sure I’ve got several projects on the go so that I divide what little energy I have very thinly, and guarantee that in the rare occasions I’m actually typing words ...

Re: NiaD "Mascot" Day

I've done some digging and found out that our good friend is called... Tell the story properly! Yes, of course. Sorry! Back in 2009 I was on holiday in Dallas and visited Fort Worth Zoo. It's a lovely zoo with large natural habitats with plenty of room for animals to play and roam. Amongst other won...

Re: How do I use Scrivener 3 with two authors

I’m afraid it was nothing more complex than using compile to get materials out and import to get materials in. The trick is not to confuse collaborating on writing a book with collaborating on writing a sentence. It’s all about dividing the tasks up so people are working to bring different things in...

Re: How do I use Scrivener 3 with two authors

There are a a few people who are members of the forums who use Scrivener 3 to work on projects with other authors. Indeed! In March of this year I used Scrivener 3 to work on a creative writing project with 72 other authors. We wrote seven books together in a single day, including all writing every...

Vic-K

Some of you may have noticed that the boards here on the forum have been missing the zesty spice of our good friend vic-k recently. I’ve just learnt the sad news as to why. Vic passed away at the end of May. His funeral notice confirmed that he died peacefully, which is some comfort for those of us ...

Re: Lions, and tigers, and...viruses?

We're getting by. Our state is starting to reopen some things, even though there are still over 100 deaths a day. Masks are mandatory, although there's a not-insignificant amount who think their freedom is being impinged upon. This crisis is really showing the best and worst of people, that's for c...
