Re: Any chance of a 64 bit version?

So any day now? macOS High Sierra is out next week (September 25th) :P

Re: macOS Sierra

Given this was released to the wild earlier in the week, my machines are now all switched over to Sierra. I'm not seeing any issue at the moment. Even Siri seems happy to launch Scrivener if I ask her nicely. I'm curious, when it comes to the iCloud integration, whether Apple has actually solved som...

Re: Dropbox backdooring / security

Cool, interesting responses. I do think it's over-hyped, but anything that raises awareness over general security is a good thing. Any cloud service is a risk—easy to forget.

Dropbox backdooring / security

Given the huge security implications (and questionably legality of the product in the EU) recently revealed around Dropbox, are there plans to support alternatives? Aral Balkan on Twitter: "Dropbox backdooring Macs by phishing admin passwords could be the largest cyber attack by a US corp on EU...

Thanks man, appreciate the additional notes. It's all working fairly well for me now. Very useful stuff.

Re: Compare Documents, Conflicts and Versions

Ah, snapshots... I need to look at snapshots! When I said straight forward... *cough*. I meant there are lots of prior examples, from a user perspective. I'm not sure I'd care to write one from scratch (actually, I know I wouldn't). I'd hope there would a lib somewhere as it's something I see it a f...

Compare Documents, Conflicts and Versions

Given we now have the superb iOS version of Scrivener I find myself jumping between devices frequently, which has thrown up a few headaches with synchronisation. Most of the time it works perfectly... if I remember to upload changes from iOS then download them on my MacBook (and visa versa). But I'm...

Unusual spacing in some templates

This was a problem on macOS version a while back, with resolution being to re-create the documents and paste the content in bit by bit (without the tabs). Now true problem is back on there iOS version. Previously fixed Character templates, for example, have odd spacing. iOS 9.3.3 iPhone 6S Plus imag...

Re: Too much bugs, not enough update

I'm not seeing any of these issues in particular on my Macs :/ Wondering if there's some common feature of your Macs (other software? old version of OS X?). There's not a lot to go on in your post. I have found that El Capitan itself as introduced some curious issues that affect even Apple's own sof...

Re: How to add character list

It's not something I've tried, but you could (as a last resort) use OS X's autocomplete - you can access it from the corrections tab in Scriveners options. I'm not aware of anything in Scrivener itself for doing this (but it should absolutely be on the wish list!) Update: Sorry only just noticed thi...

Crash on "Close All"

Attempted to "close all" from file menu while Scrivener running in full screen (but not comp mode). 1. Tried to close all. Nothing happened. 2. Wrinkled brow. Did I really click that? 3. Try again. Nothing happened. WTH? 4. Take out of full screen mode, just because. 5. Try again. This tim...

Re: Strange alignment in some character templates

I take back any implied criticism of Scrivener  Also glad Apple fixed their bug; mind boggles how that got through their QA (surely stuff like this would be covered by their automated tests).

Thanks for taking the time to respond KB. My writing life without Scrivener would be miserable.

Re: Strange alignment in some character templates

Yes all my Macs on 10.11.2 - Interesting, existing character sheets still broken, but if I create a new one, it works. So I guess the corruption must get saved to the individual RTF files. I can recreate those easily enough. (I'm sure I tested this yesterday though... perhaps my head is also buggy)....

Re: Strange alignment in some character templates

Update: Also if you copy paste misaligned text into textEdit, you can then adjust the 2nd-line + wrapping in the ruler at the top, which fixes the issue; so it suggests that it's not Apple's code that's broken as such. Either they changed something, or Scrivener has a bug. It's ONLY scrivener that e...
