Re: 28th Oct - LEE'S DAILY UPDATE

Thanks for the update Lee!

Helps keep fresh what are known issues etc.

Also - I just find it interesting too :)

Great work!

Re: Scriv 1.1 close window change?

Yes this was changed as a default option. How to enable/disable can be found here: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8625 Basically go to Edit > Options > General tab: The second checkbox, if you have it checked will revert to the original mac style. Basically it is UI...

Re: Start Pane Behavior

Olorinpc: I just went back and unchecked the "Show Start Pane when no projects are open" box, and then closed and relaunched -- bingo. Works as I expected. Thanks for pointing that out. No problem - I had it once mysteriously recheck itself, but who knows I might have hit the defaults but...

Re: Export Location

Hi Jeco - yes the option to Compile seems to work fine.

The *Export* option, which is separate, is the one that seems to have issues.

Re: Export Location

I was able to replicate this error as well.

Compiling, this does allow you to select location, but the "Browse" option on the Export doesn't seem to have any code tied to it. This just allows you select the defaults as mentioned.

Re: Start Pane Behavior

I'm getting the same behavior. Every time I exit, the Create New Project window appears. Here's what I'm doing: 1. Select Scrivener from Start. 2. It opens up in my current book. 3. I hit the Red X to exit. 4. The software disappears and the Create New Project window appears. It appears to be relat...

Re: Start Pane Behavior

http://literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8778 That thread covers how it might be confusing with no "Ok" or "Save" button. Lee has said in the next beta he will add that. Though might not be the issue here unless you are accidentally clicking the "defaults...

Re: Hitting the top right "close" button [FIX PROVIDED]

Myself I leave the "Open Recent Projects" box checked and uncheck the "Show Start Pane when no projects are open."

It then basically emulates what we are used to ala yWriter project management. If you bounce between a lot of projects, then you might enjoy the mac emulation.

Re: Start Pane Behavior

Hi Strangefork - I am testing on WinXP Sp3 and am unable to replicate. Not sure how I missed the checkbox for so long, but it too was driving me nuts having the project menu waiting for me when I closed a project. Unchecked the "Show start panel when there are no projects open" box, closed...

Re: Opening Mac 2.0 Project

- I work in Spanish, therefore I have a lot of accents, ñ, and other characters. When I see the documents in Outline view, the "Synopsis" shows many wrong characters. Exemple: Módulo 1 Normas generales Hi cor_stellae - I know I have seen reference to this elsewhere in bug hunt threads. I...

Re: Opening Mac 2.0 Project

Hi Raven - did you make sure to save the Mac version? The Windows version isn't looking for the folders (which the mac version sees as packages) but looking specifically for the "project.scrivx" file contained within the first level of folders. I had this issue yesterday when trying to imp...

Re: IT would be nice

I have a post that lists the features (obtained from Julia aka Mrs. Scrivener) that are planned but not yet in the beta. (As KB already replied, the original post mentions something that is planned for the final version.) http://epicplains.com/2010/10/scrivener-for-windows-beta-out-today/ Hope that ...

Re: WinScrivener and Dropbox?

If I recall correctly shouldn't be as big of an issue with Windows, but in theory it might be. Myself, plan on testing that pretty hard to see if I can come up with any issues while working out of a dropbox folder. (While backing up regularly.) The recommended way to work with dropbox and sync acros...
