Re: Gmail new look

I hated the new gMail look for a while... oddly now, and I'm not sure if its just getting used to it, or my cognitive impairment, but I don't really remember what the old one was like... and I've just got used to the new one... ;)

Re: How many fiction writers do we have here?

naquada: There are some grammatical issues in the paragraph. For example, the first two sentences contain comma splices. Also, be careful about "its" and "it's", such as in "Its those moments..." and "...it's old age". I notice you use the word "quite&qu...

Re: Backup/Disaster recover best methods

I have a Time Capsule (which has saved my life one more than one occasion!) which backs up my iMac, Macbook Pro, and my Wife's Macbook. The Time Capsule is then archived to a separate 2TD drive each week, which I keep at my parents house (a short walk away). I also use Scriveners automatic backup on...

Re: How many fiction writers do we have here?

Its early on... but.... History had one major disadvantage, it was old. Not that old wasn’t good, it was more the fact that being old, things aren’t quite so clear. It’s like when grandma gets to that certain age when things aren’t quite recalled as clearly as they once were. Its those moments when ...

Re: iTunes controls

When you're in full screen (sorry compose mode ;) ) you can still access OSX's menu bar by sliding your mouse up to the top of the screen. The task and menu bat will then slide down, you can then run something like 'tracks' - http://conceitedsoftware.com/products/tracks which gives you access to you...
naquada - I'm afraid you weren't lucky this time. (And yes, he did write it in Scrivener, but the publishers have their own way of producing ebooks rather than using Scrivener.)
Yeah... just ironic isnt it ;) on not winning... It's ok :) better luck next time.. as the...

I agree.. Your wife has her ow mind, and if you've shown her scrivener, and she still wants to use word... Let her.. I converted my wife to macs years ago, it took a whole before she was happy and comfortable with them, but now, she tends to enjoy the ease of use vs pcs. But she still uses excel hea...

Re: Macbook Air 11 inch for Scrivenering

In my experience they don't care if you install programs on the demo Macs, some may even have Scrivener installed already if any of the employees are users. They are allowed to select applications to put on the machines. Well i had a wonder in today (post 'new' iPad queues had cleared)... they are ...

Re: Suddenly empty scratchpad

Well if the original scratchpad notes live in 'dropbox/scrivener' just go into scrivener preferences, general, and under 'notes location', hit choose and navigate to 'dropbox/scrivener' to point scrivener back at the original location again... logic says that should get you back where you were befor...
