Re: Scrivener Lite; i.e. Textwrangler:BBEdit

It would be cheap or free, and it would serve as a gateway drug to full on Scrivener like TextWrangler does for BBEdit. One of the main reasons to do this is that many writers are not very tech savvy and, frankly, are probably afraid of a program like Scrivener because of its great complexity. But ...

Re: iOS status updates?

I'm still wishing away most of 2014 looking forward to this..... ;)

Is there any chance of using Apple TestFlight for a beta ?

p.s. I'm very good at breaking pretty much most software fairly quickly.. ;)

Re: 2014 NaNo - Who's in?

I'm in.. been doing Nano since 2009.. and managed to (just) 'win' each year... the secret is just write.. and write.. and write a bit more...

I tend to use it as brain dumping ideas and thinking for a project.. and then come back to it at a much later date...

keeps me out of trouble ;)

Re: Keep up the good work (please/thank you)

Whenever it's released.. I'll buy iOS Scrivener without a second thought... Scrivener is the best software out there for writing.. and I expect the iOS version will further enhance that no end.. We all appreciate your hard work on all versions of Scrivener... sometimes its just enough to say 'Thanks...

Re: Simple feature request "night time" / inverted colours mode

Why don't you just get f.lux (https://justgetflux.com)... it makes the 'glare' of the blue screen go away later at night... quite a few of us use it, and once you get used to it... it works just great for getting rid of eye strain at night...

Re: How popular is Scrivener?

I just never cease to be surprised by the Internet. Sorry...***Spoiler Alert*** Never in a million years did I remotely imagine that by clicking on Naquada's blog I would learn how to seal my up and over-doored garage against rainwater and leaves. :) I guess if your up and over garage door needed s...

Re: How popular is Scrivener?

There's just been a webinar by Joseph Michael on "How To Use Scrivener To Effortlessly Write Your Book & Export It Into Publish Ready Formats for Kindle, iBooks, Kobo, Nook, & More" well over 2,000 people turned up and crashed the Meeting Burner server... ...so.. I'd say it's prett...

Re: Lost work *URGENT*

could you restore an older version of the dropbox file to dropbox... wait for it to sync back down to your machine.. then reopen it in scrivener? worth a try at least see the below from the dropbox site... How do I recover old versions of files? Dropbox is like a time machine. It keeps snapshots of ...

Re: how to uninstall

I can recommend AppZapper (http://www.appzapper.com) to make sure absolutely everything is removed.. but as AmberV said you can just remove the program file... the only thing i've found left behind by most well behaved Mac App's is preference files and things.. normally they cause no issues, but I h...

Re: Macbook Pro vs. Windows Surface Pro

I'd also say if you're writing... MacBook Air... I write on a MacBook Air 11" it's perfect for me.. only slightly larger than my iPad 2.. extremely light, the new 2013 models have a great battery life... as other have said as it's all SSD, the machine flies.. just make sure you get what ram and...

i'm getting used to it.. on my macbook air, i seem to have to have the screen tilted at the right angle otherwise the screen seems a bit too 'orange'.. also get a bit of red blur as I scroll text.. but I'm getting used to it... the difference is very noticeable when you swap back to 'normal' mode fr...

I'm sure it will be cool.. everything you do seems to be cool :) I just wish I had enough writing talent to do your software justice ;)
