Re: How do I attach photo to Character Sketch?

Just drag the character picture into the inspector field. It will replace the dummy picture. That's it!

ESellerate is the place where you get a new license if necessary but you get program via the Scrivener site http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php under either Free Trial or Download for Mac. The link behind this menu item is http://scrivener.s3.amazonaws.com/Scrivener.dmg When you install ...

Re: How to disable the divider lines in Scrivenings mode ?

Is it possible to make the divider setting a project setting which can override the general setting? For example, I regularly write a bunch of small texts for a monthly, all part of one project. In this case the divider lines are the proper choice, but when working on another project with one big te...

Re: Does Scrivener Obviate OmniOutliner?

I can't tell you much about Omni . I had the version that came with my Mac but didn't find any use for it (which does not say it is useless, it just didn't fit with my workflow). But you mentioned using Scrivener for journaling, as a notebook etc.: You can do that, of course, but keep in mind that t...

Re: TypeIt4Me, Typinator - what works together with Scriv 2.0?

Typinator is working fine here. I have watched some delays while typing but not related to Typinator . I had suspected it but nothing changed after I quit Typinator . Before I bought Typinator I had checked the competition too but found all of them limited in expanding functions ( Typinator has a m...

Re: How to take snapshot of all documents?

When you customize the toolbar you will find an Expand All and a Collapse All icon. If you use this often you can add them to your toolbar.

Re: Newbie Question: Index Cards N/A

And when you right-click on an item in the Binder and choose Stamps/Edit you not only see a list of the stamps from which you can delete stamps or add new ones to but you can also set one of them as the default (which now seems to be "N/A"). If you have no use for them at the moment, "...

Just a quick aside: If you are heavily customizing keyboard shortcuts for lots of applications you might find KeyCue useful:

Re: Footnote Codes

If anyone needs a TextSoap cleaner—it will work at least similarly with other find and replace functions using regular expressions—for generating Scrivener footnotes with the code provided by Amber, here it is. I used the Franc symbol ƒ as a delimiter for footnotes but of course you can use whatever...

Re: Footnote Codes

This is great news. I work on a regular basis with plain text coming from an AlphaSmart Dana. When I got the text on the Mac, either in Scrivener or another application, I apply a TextSoap cleaner on it to turn *xxx* into xxx and stuff like that. But I never could do this with footnotes. Until now. ...

Re: Where did "styles" go in 2.0?

This has been discussed in the forum extensively—the only way Keith could keep up the low upgrade fee was by charging extra for the ruler and such (notice that you can get it in a value pack with italics; while underlined will be available only in the AppStore version early 2011). JUST KIDDING! You ...

Re: Scrivener 2.0... It's here.

Just a quick note … Scrivener 2 is utterly amazing.

I didn't find the time to post earlier and I have to keep it short for now because I got some heavy work to do … with Scrivener!
