Re: Paintbrush please

I haven't got access to my Windows machine at the moment, so I can't check what's there so far. However, the Mac version does have copy format and paste format options (and shortcuts) in the Format section of the header, so this should be coming...

Re: Bug Tracking Suggestions for the Long Haul

Hi Scribbles - Lee's been writing about this in in his daily update and it's at the front of his mind, firstly as a way of prioritising which bugs are most annoying for users and also, like you say, as a way of making sure none get left behind. Actually, there was something in yesterday's post: http...

Re: Why doesn't indentation formatting hold?

The problem of it failing to remember first line indentation should have been fixed by v1.3 - is it continuing?

Re: Quirky Spellcheck

With the spellcheck issues you describe, it sounds like you are using one of the early versions of the beta. Have you downloaded and installed version 1.3 yet? It should fix those issues: http://bit.ly/d55amz

If you've already done that then let us know... Thanks

Re: Will spell check find double spaces?

Doesn't double space come as a grammar, not spelling error? But yes - he's using Aspell for the spelling side.

Re: Will spell check find double spaces?

Ah - I've just looked into this again and actually the answer isn't as clear cut as I thought. The Mac version uses Apple's built-in spelling and grammar checker but in the Windows version this isn't the case - Lee is therefore going to be providing his own, which at last call was causing a few prob...

Yes - it's one of the features that should be in by release. Thanks!

Re: My Impression

There will definitely be dictionary options, as in Scrivener for Mac. However, there will definitely not be the option to split the editor more than once - it just isn't something that Keith likes. Instead, at some point, the Windows version will catch up to the Mac one and contain QuickReference wi...

Re: Sentence capitalization

Unfortunately , the problems with auto capitalisation are a known bug. Obviously, the current work-around is just to switch auto-caps off so it doesn't annoy you. Another refinement that will be dealt with in due course - don't worry.

Re: Thank you! aka feed back!

Many thanks - Lee might be along at some point to have a word about the formatting issues, but it's good to get feedback on the niggles. Glad you're generally liking it!

Re: Localization

That's definitely a good option - we simply haven't had time to look at it yet. In fact, the English documentation still has the odd gap. But it's on our to do list soon and I'll let David know you have experience of it so might help. Thanks.

Re: Localization

That's a very good question. We've had localisation of the Mac version in mind for quite a while - and will be working on this shortly as it's one of our priorities. However, one of the problems we face is that we would need to translate the Help file - which currently runs to about 200,000 words. S...

Thanks for the feedback doug. As you know, this is a work in progress, so yes - please try again in a while when we have refined a few things. Glad you liked it, loading delay aside.
