Steve, Welcome! Storyist is actually a beautiful piece of software and I'm pretty sure I would have used it had I not discovered Scrivener first. As I mentioned, the character, location, etc. autocomplete is fantastic. It's one of the reasons I still turn to Final Draft (though I've written my last ...

Hmm, the only thing that Storyist seems to have that Scrivener lacks is the ability (in screenplay/script mode) to take characters, scenes, etc. that are typed in and then autocomplete them after their first entry. From the site: As you type, Storyist collects your scene introductions, locations, ti...

shift-ctrl-D?

It's easy enough to change the one for Dictionary though. As long as it isn't on by default it shouldn't be an issue. Maybe you should just note it in the Help file instead of changing it?

AmberV. Yep, it is. I just tested it. The dictionary popped up for a selected word in Safari. Will try and find a way to disable it so I can use the hotkey in Scrivener. EDIT: Disabled it and the command now works for Simple Duplicate. I don't remember ever enabling that hotkey for the Dictionary. D...

I just checked several other projects and ctl-cmd-d does not perform the Simple Duplicate command. The command works when selecting from the Document menu.

I'm using a new blank Comic Script template and trying to use the Simple Duplicate hotkey (ctrl-Cmd-d) and it is not working at all. I have looked for a conflict but can't find one. The cmd-d (Duplicate) works perfect. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Slightly OT but does anyone know (LL?) if you get a discount for Screenwriter if you own Final Draft? I own FD already but am always on the look out for a replacement, however, I am also fairly broke. Thanks!

Did you check the Trash folder in the Binder? If you deleted the folder all of its contents would go as well as far as I know.

I would say it's definitely not from Microsoft. Office 2008 (Microsoft version) is not due out until next year from everything I have seen.

Looks like a repackaged Open Office to me. Hard to tell just from the screen shots available. No trial either.

Antony, You should definitely write this up into a blog post. I'm very curious about your use of GTD and writing. I have been trying to come up with a good system (that I call GTD but it's really not b/c I do the same thing with my calendar). I have Research, Notes, Plot, etc. as processes for my wr...

spinningdoc: That is what I plan on doing as well. Scrivener for long projects and formatted in Mellel (when needed) and Bean for simple writing. I do plan to use Pages for Stationary purposes though. My resume designed in Pages just got me a new job (well, obviously my skills and experience helped)...

I used Notepad++ on Windows for a couple of years. No problems at all.
