Any pointers on how to update the class? I'm using the MacTex2007 distribution for what that's worth. I appreciate the help.

I still get the same error after trying this with 6x9book but now there are no indentions before the paragraphs but no spaces either. Very strange. Here's the entire error message with the help from TexShop: ! LaTeX Error: Option clash for package parskip. See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for...

I got the error in the default memoir class as well as the 6x9book class. I tried deleting the

Code: Select all

\setlength{\parindent}{1em}

As well but may have missed some. I'll try a search and replace and see if that works.

Thanks!

This is sort of related. I'm trying to export a document using multimarkdown . I want a blank line between paragraphs. I have entered two spaces at the end of the last line of the paragraph. The trouble hits when I open the tex document in TexShop and convert to pdf. It just indents the first word o...

Thanks for the recommendations. Both Bean and iText are pretty nice, light weight word processors. And I never would have seen them if I didn't lurk here on a daily basis.

I agree. Just offering a counter point. Perhaps if there were some way to make it an option but that may be more work than it's worth. I actually just use VoodooPad to take notes in when I'm using other apps.

Though the black HUD could serve to help distinguish the notepad from other apps you may have open. The Shiira Browser makes use of the black HUDs for a Bookmarks panel and a History panel which helps to differentiate from the main browser window.

Thanks for the heads up Antony. Good to know. This is one good thing about Final Draft. It upcases my dialogue in the template but a quick change of template and everything is back to lowercase (except anything I intentionally capitalized).

I have one of the later MacBooks (just before the processor switch) and have had no problems so far after 8 months of very intensive use. FWIW.

Upcase dialogue would be great.

I've been using the Final Draft Template I found on Andy Diggle's website. I customized it a bit to my own liking of course.

I've actually used Scrivener to outline some story ideas but Final Draft's autocomplete and templates keep me coming back to it for the actual script writing.
