I'm a bit gutted. I (naively) had hoped for a price decrease on the old models, if a new model were announced. I feel rather silly, in retrospect.

Re: Shakespeare, Shakespeare, Shakespeare

Richard II . The poetry! The pathos! The history! I love it. I discovered a brilliant iPad app a few weeks ago -- The Tempest , by Heuristic Shakespeare. The full Arden Shakespeare version of the text and notes, the First Folio text, history things, essays, interesting visual breakdowns of the scen...

Re: Dragon dictate Mac v6 - scrivener specific support?!

Oof! That's expensive. No playing with voice recognition for me, then. :( I'll just have to stick with the Mac's dictation facility (which isn't doing too bad a job these days, actually.)

Keith's forthcoming immersive massively multi-writer game/writeware venture, Scrivtropolis. And there was me thinking I was a real person, with a real job in technical support and everything, and it turns out that I'm just a figment of Keith's imagination, trapped in a beta-test fictional world. Oh...

Re: International Customers - iTunes Store

We are a very small company, and don't have the accountancy resources to administer local taxes in every country internationally, so I'm afraid we can only offer Scrivener through the App Store in those countries where Apple handle the local tax issues. Unfortunately they don't do that in Thailand (...

Re: Cannot search by Label and Status

I'm afraid that the inability to search by label or status is indeed a bug in version 1.9.5, but Jennifer (MimeticMouton) tells me that it will be fixed in the next update. If you have any existing saved searches, they will remain intact, and will appear as normal in 1.9.6 when that is released. All...

You think that's bad? I ordered a WayTools TextBlade for my iPad a whole year ago, and I'm still waiting!

Re: Music for writing

Requiems, generally, if anything (yes, really). But at this very minute, I'm working rather than writing, so I'm playing a chirpy playlist-shuffle of Fletcher Henderson and Georges Brassens.

Stockport

My daughter is visiting Stockport today, for work reasons. So, Vic-k, what sights should she be looking out for? Apart from the Red Lion Tesco branch, which is obviously already on her list. :D

Re: Just overstating the obvious

Apparently we should all go and live in Chile. The recommended maximum weekly alcohol intake there is seven times what it is in the UK! Or so I heard this week, on the "Daily Politics" current affairs programme.
