The scariest thing I've ever seen in print.

Just got a reply back from an agent I queried at the beginning of May. I was pretty sure that by now the only replies I'd get from queries I sent back then would be rejections. I was sitting at the dinner table when my iPhone boinked to let me know I had mail. We hadn't started yet, so I looked and ...

Re: WWDC

I had a sort of daydream today while coming home from work on the bus, that the reason for the silence on the Mac is that having developed the "Retina screen" or whatever it's called for the iPhone, they're now working to build that into all their displays, and that work on 10.7 is finall...

Re: WWDC

Didn't you notice it? It was between the Farmville and Netflix announcements: They're abandoning Mac OS X in favor of iOS.

Re: iTunes: Why does one CD become two??

You've got to go through the info again. Something isn't matched up properly.

I find that "Sort Data" is often a culprit, but it could be as simple as having an extra space at the end of the name of the album for everything but the one song.

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

I don't remember if anyone has asked it in the last 23 pages: is there going to be a beta release?

Re: Scrivener 1.54 now available

Don't install this upgrade! 1.54 gave my sister a black eye and knocked up my dog!

(I haven't had much time to poke around, but what I've seen so far looks good. :) )

Re: Bee Docs Timeline 3D

I really liked Bee Docs Timeline 3D, and was considering using it as my primary timeline software. The 3D effects broke with OS X 10.6.2. They still work, sort of, but each item in your timeline makes it take exponentially longer to render. That's not exaggeration. The developer says it's Apple's fa...

Re: Protagonist VS Story

Oh, story. I am a product of the world I was born into. My characters fill out the stories they're created for.

Eventually, if I'm lucky, they take on life of their own and the world starts changing based on what they do.

Re: Scrivener for iPad

For those of you who do end up getting an iPad and would like to see your Scrivener files on it, you may want to look into VNC clients. VNC clients basically give you remote access to your Mac or PC - you can see your desktop and interact with it right from your iPhone. There are already a number o...

Cool, thanks.

I don't want to launch the site until I have a book contract in hand, so it may take a while. [/optimism]

Re: Icon (mis)use

This seems as good a place as any to ask. I'm (very slowly) putting together a website for myself. Would it be all right to use your logo on there along with a link to your homepage?
