Re: Just curious...

Nice to know. Thanks Kevi...well, now: Keith. Sorry. My feeble attempt at being funny. So if Lee is in a happy mood, he might as well port Scrivener for Windows to Mac OS as well. And, since Scriv/Win will be the #1 top selling app for Windows in 2011, it will also become the default on Mac OS and L...

Just curious...

So, as far as I'm still living and at least within shouting distance of current development I assume that Scrivener for Windows is using the QT-Toolkit. If so, well... what's up next? Scrivener for Linux? After this terrific piece of work - porting most of the UI from Mac to QT (still assuming that ...

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

Did I just read "I think Scrivener should be at least $60 FOR AmericanS? Oooops. No. Sorry. ;) But I'm sure Keith could arrange that, couldn't you? But presently, I'd like Keith to charge at least $1000 for all those people out there owning race horses. I just had some really weird talks while ...

Re: WWDC

Seems to be contagious - I really don't know how to put it; maybe its time for an analogy again: right after the advent of pretty cheap DV-Camcorders for everyone to use, nearly everyone started to think "hey, I'm a director" or "hey, I'm the new Ballhaus". In fact, the quality o...

Re: Oh my God!!

No, they are not collected through taxes. Anyone buying a TV- receiver which is capable of receiving those channels - as well as computers and similar devices - has to pay for the public TV channels. Hence the swedish ad, since that is in fact difficult to control and it depends largely on the peopl...

Re: Oh my God!!

What is your "broadcasting fee"? Is that your cable bill? I must be a dumb American because I don't get it. We have some public TV Networks, which are independent of the government (at least in theory) and have the mission to keep the public informed about current events, politics, the wo...

Re: To be named.

What's in a name? Anyway, since - so I hope - you are still you, all things are as they were. Where did you get that ' in Petra'ka? Funny, your real name sounds more nickname-ish as AmberV ever did; probably because of that ' And don't you worry about "living under a nickname", Ioa. We al...

Re: Apple iPad & Scrivener

I think OmniFocus does multitask with itself nicely - if that is not a contradiction in itself - since one can actually enter information while it synchronizes its databases via the net.

Re: any more young'ins?

I plan on not becoming a grown-up myself. Of course, adulthood is quite inevitable, but if I can avoid being a grown-up I will be happy. Both are, of course, inventions of the unimaginative majority in every society in order to discipline their people to go out and do something incredibly boring. J...

What an allegation! But may be true, once I figure out who 'me' actually is and if that particular 'me' would like to be someone (or, in your case, many) else's 'me'. Be patient, as soon as I am me again I will be back to haunt your me's.

Re: Why coffee and not tea?

Drinking tea is a wisdom thing. Really, like in older and wiser. Years ago I was a no-nonsense coffee-maniac, 2-3 liters a day, no milk, no sugar, accompanied by lots of cigarettes. The usual beverages for computer people, I think. Just before marrying I suddenly developed intense stomach problems, ...

Re: iPad killed the KIndle

I think we can agree upon one thing here: the iPad is a computer-companion-device. It can actually do a lot of things more like any ebook-reader I happen to know. However, it is not an eBook-reader, it can also be used as one. Moreover the Kindle seems to be a US-only thing, whereas the iPad is inte...
