Re: Computer: "the enemy of careful writing"

Two years ago I would have been an integral part of the computer-enabled-me-to-write camp. But now, I'm not. This summer I started going back to school in an attempt to broaden my education - never a bad move, or so it's generally agreed upon. During the first weeks of attending classes I was utterl...

Re: Superhero novel, translated

Having a sentence like The air was not dry and no tsunami dust storms raised by sharp gusts of wind, covering everything they could find. near the top does not help. Mind you, English is pretty far from being my native language, so my judgement might be tainted, but is that really a sentence? If so,...

Re: Vic-k and a three word story

. Remembering Welsh typography Fluff, Fine again, thank you. After managing to loose hope it took quite a while to cobble up a surrogate. But, lo and behold, I managed, and while it is still a bit on the slimy and smelly side it IS probably the least worrisome creation, compared to its predecessors....

How could one not want to know, if one is not knowing what one does not know? And if one knows what one does not know, then there is only knowing.

Yup.
Here we are, meeting and writing about stuff, on a server which is run by a company based in Cornwall, England. Weren't it the englishmen who first brought tea en masse to Europe?

Re: Tea Time

Jade Oolongs are amazing, and sometimes I feel like the longer roasted ones, like Ti Guan Yin, which borderline on a Darjeeling taste. Have any suggestions on where to get nice teas on the web? The Tao of Tea is a great one, out of Oregon, for your everyday and specialty tea needs. What say you, Zi...

Re: Uploading a word count automatically

This is better answered by Ioa, but I seem to remember there was once something like a WordCount-placeholder. Look for that in one of the templates, probably the title page. Now, how about just creating an export setting which just exports the title page to some folder to your liking and process that?

Re: Tea Time

Over here! In fact I drink probably too much of it. But one has to try to keep tea consumption up. There are 3 separate sorts of tea I do consume: wake-up tea -- which I need until 5pm; normally the blend which got famous as english breakfast tea, but currently calls itself irish breakfast tea. At l...
