Re: Couleur du texte

Allow me :D Emmanuel said: Text Color After having made the text red (I was thinking that I was changing the background fill color), when I undid the change the text color didn’t revert to black but to a clear gray-brown. PS. Text selected in the note and then fill color applied. On the other hand i...

Re: FormalAddress

I'm happy to announce that there is a new version of FormalAddress! Version 3 is an almost complete rewrite and greatly extends the capabilities: • Now recognizes addresses in 25 countries and 12 languages • New address recognition for Ireland, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, &     Finland...

Re: Scrivener and fonts -- what a mess

I think the confusion here is that Scrivener presets are NOT styles. No, really, they aren't. Styles in Pages, Word, Quark, Indesign, etc. are a group of settings that are applied to a run of text dynamically--the next time you scroll through the text the group name is looked up and all the settings...

Re: Feature wish-list - the most important one

Hm, lemme see, they had a quill and some ink and some scrap of some sort of something or other that took the ink and they scratched away and spilled blots and dropped coffee or tea or mottled bananas or sake or Laphroig on the squiggles & breathless sluices and at the end they figured something ...

Re: Scapple Beta (Download Here)

Would be helpful if exports to plain text didn't insist that files have .txt extension. I'm afraid you are going to meet this increasingly. The OS X file type identification system is more than a bit of a mess and really the only thing to do is to insist on extensions (and developers are encouraged...

Yes, but it's not nearly as big as your wall. It is very difficult to pace from one side of the laptop to the other. Unless, of course, you have bound feet but that's probably another story.

Re: Scapple Beta (Download Here)

Pretty refined, there, Keith. Guess all these years in Xcode have honed your process. I must confess though that I prefer your handwritten example at the top of the page. :D Do keep it as simple as possible. Dave P.S. For people who require many more bells and whistles for this sort of thing, yester...

Re: cannot find a good shortcut that is not already taken

Let us meditate on the thought that Scrivener may actually have more keyboard shortcuts than Photoshop. Is this an indication that we need yet another modifier key? How about, "Ur" ?

Or for Keith, "Symbol Shift"

That is a very good question since, for at least twenty years, publishers prefer you don't bother with double-spaces at sentence breaks. It's easily fixed, of course, but why spend the calories? :)

Re: FormalAddress

What about whopaste? Isn't it pretty competitive to Formaladdress? Well, I don't think so, but I wrote FormalAddress so I might be prejudiced. :) Although both apps recognize addresses, FormalAddress does it for multiple addresses at once in 19 countries & 8 languages, and will save them to add...

Think under the table at the red lion before protesting... Well, yes, I was thinking about under the table and in the spirit of ethno-linguistics I was hoping that the only participating member of this tribe available might offer some insight into this curious language. Since, we apparently do not ...
