Or, you could trundle over to the Terminal and use "diff".

Of course, then you'd have to read the near-one-hundred page manual. :)

In this respect at least, a wordprocessor like Mellel is vastly superior.

They may stiill have debugging code in there and this is not the final release, so I think I'll reserve judgment.

Tim, I think on this one you may just have to grit your teeth and jump. I recently did some editing using Word 2004 (first time doing any editing in ages) and found myself ruefully admitting that the change tracking and annotation features were really good. If they request major rewrites (heaven for...

You can't, for instance, highlight a single paragraph in a multi-column page ... you get the same lines in all columns, which is a serious defect.

You should probably send the bug report to Apple. Skim is using the Apple PDF renderer, I think. You get the same issue in Preview.

Applejack is the BEST system management utility for fixing things. It is amazing how many skull-crackers it has resolved over the past couple years on the 40 or so systems I handle. It's free. It's wonderful. Get it. You won't regret it. However, it is not used lightly: it does some pretty low-level...

Have a lovely time!

I can duplicate what Tim is reporting on a dual G4 10.4.9.

However, I notice that if you click again on the target button a comma is displayed. If you reenter the number without the comma and close things seem to be correct.

Life is hard for archaeologists...

You mean all archaeologists aren't like Indiana Jones? Finding buried treasure and all that? Boy, that's no fun at all!

That display would look pretty amusing hooked up to an iBook . . .

Who wants to take Dave out behind the woodshed! Whoops! Well, in my defense, I would say that in the usual Maria-context it is logical to take her statement to mean Scrivener. :) I'll pass on the woodshed but (back in context) if I had one of these you could take me behind it: http://www.cinemassiv...
