Re: FormalAddress

Just a brief note to mention that FormalAddress 3.1 has just been released. This version doesn’t really have any new scintillating bells & whistles, just better address recognition, kinky bug fixes, a kind-of-cool phone list recognizer (you won’t see it—it just does it when the moon is in the ea...

Re: Mavericks?

The problem is that it doesn’t address much above that level of usage. If people like me are defining the upper bar for what Apple is aiming at with their hardware, then they have severed off a huge chunk of the market. Well, there's much huffing and puffing going on in pro quarters but they aren't...

Re: Mavericks?

I think the announcements were good. Real new products in the pipeline. I'd like to hear more about what they're doing with OS X, but the pro looks like a massive improvement over the old one even given the long wait and the IOS 7 redesign is a tour de force. Then some strut-your-stuff for fun: iWor...

Re: Eight Questions: The Literature and Latte team

Thanks for doing the interview!

And as Druid said, software wonks who can actually write! And have charm! And who like doing what they're doing! Wow!

Well . . . he didn't actually say that, I did. But you get the idea.

Re: SUGGESTION: Preserve hierarchies on import to Scrivener

Scapple has no hierarchies.

Even though it would be nice to have what you request, it is utterly free-form and because of that, it is impossible to extract a hierarchy from something like this:

      Top
     /     \
Left — Right

Re: wish list for Scapple

But I haven't really tried since the radical redesign, maybe they have improved some of that. You should really try the new version of Curio. George has put a simply colossal amount of work into it. To be honest, Curio, now, does every single thing that people have been requesting for Scapple for t...

Re: Ulysses III

I just took a look at the MAS and it seems Ulysses III is now the only listed app - which is fine from their point of view - but what happens to the users whom bought a previous version and their computer crashed. Can they still download the old version or would they have to buy Ulysses III? Having...

Ooooh! This "and" stuff could get really contentious! Let's have at it, shall we? Blither, blather, thought, thought. [extensive pause—far beyond ellipses] And, that thought, yeah, that one, causes this thought. Or, This croissant is flaccid. [He says] And, it lacks butter. [she says] :D D...
