Re: What templates do you want in Scrivener 2.0?

Keith, Could you please include the bibliography format for The Chicago Style, 16th edition? It's basically like MLA, but whereas the author and the page number (Williams, 20) are the proper way for in-text citations for MLA, Chicago uses the date; for example: (Williams, 2008) or if it is a specifi...

Re: Which word processor do you primarily rely upon?

I have tried both Mellel and Nisus Pro. What I did like about Mellel was its way of treating styles and how easy the formatting would change across the entire document. That said, however, I much prefer NisusWriter Pro for its interface and ease of everyday formatting, without having to set an offic...

Re: Word Frequency

Thanks Amber,

As always, your suggestions are so helpful.

I cannot wait for 2.0! Can't imagine Scrivener being any more useful or "friendly."

Be well,
Michael

Re: Scrivener for iPad

I too agree that writing is about...well...writing. This means using a real keyboard. If a writer needs to get some serious work done, this is the only way. Tapping glass won't cut it. The iPad looks great for consuming e-books or whatever, but composing? No way! What Keith mentioned about Scrivener...

Re: Ghost notes nonfunctional

That was it! Boy you're fast, man. I went back on to renege what I posted because I indeed did have a colon in the annotation...silly me.

Can't wait to see 2.0!

Be well,

Michael

Re: Ghost notes halfway functional

Hi Keith, As always I LOVE Scrivener. Everything was going well, but as I was editing my first draft with an annotation, I wanted ghost notes on, but only the tail end of the annotation fades with the first half in full color. Am I missing something? I thought this bug was addressed already. Perhaps...

Text Color

Hi, I am having a weird problem ever since updating with the newest installment. I like to work in full screen (dark background, light text), and although the blinking cursor, mouse arrow, and toolbar changes to the new color, the text does not :!: It stays black. When I go to change the text by hig...

Re: Header for the Novel Template

Okay, it's definitely NOT the printer. I plugged in my old HP, same exact thing. The Novel Template's header is sliced in half. Hmm...I know I really don't need to print this out, but I just want to make sure the header on the manuscript won't be cut off like this....Thank you. Perhaps you can find ...

Re: Header for the Novel Template

Hi Amber, Thanks for getting to my vexing problem so quickly--we computer goofs really appreciate that. I was sure I beat this problem when I messed with the page attributes menu and put the name of my printer in the drop-down, but alas, no change. The system-wide preview does show the document as h...

Header for the Novel Template

I tried looking through the posts, so forgive me if I am repeating here with my question: The Standard Novel Format template has the title page, then subsequent pages with the Surname/TITLE/Page number in the header–-or what is acting as the header, I suppose. When I go to print this document, the h...
