Re: Retro café in Cornwall (UK)

[quote="AmberV"]Is it this retro?

Add a few katanas and a view of Mount Fuji on the background and you are almost there :)

Retro café in Cornwall (UK)

For those of you living in Cornwall (there must be someone else besides the "Truro-rians" responsible for this mess), you may like to know there is "a new shop modelled after the retro cafés of Tokyo" in Falmouth. The news keep saying you can "sip coffee, play classic games ...

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

An Xbox owner for years, I am a newcomer to the PS3. I have longed to play the Uncharted series for long (and soon will) although I am currently having a lot of fun with Little Big Planet. Games aside, I can't help but suggest all PS3 owners to try PS3 Media Server. It is a great free multiplatform ...

Re: iMac 21.5" (late 2009)

Hi Vic,

Not sure if I understood your post. Your link takes me to the iMac web site. :?:

(it must be me, you know, I never got those highest marks in English :D )

iMac 21.5" (late 2009)

I thought maybe someone around here would like to hear about the new iMacs. I recently switched from a 13.3" MacBook to a 21.5" iMac. This machine is not only beautiful but it also sports a panoramic 16.9 aspect-ratio display, very useful to fill it with left- and right-side panels (think ...

Re: Support for Windows

As much as I can consider the use of a Mac like a positive side-effect of Scrivener, we cannot deny that changing to a new computer platform isn't always desirable (or even economically feasible). I am going to sign up for this "Windows newsletter". Not that I am explicitly supporting it b...

Re: Scrivener Affiliate Program

Hola David, Thank you for the information. It's time I begin to really explore and set up this idea. I remember a nice image of a corkboard, a typewriter, a paper bin and maybe other elements depicting the functional nature of Scrivener. When the moment arrives, I will ask you about it if I can't fi...

Re: great icon design (except...)

From the manufacturer's website:

"Acts like a notebook. Works like a binder. Add what you need and remove what you don't".

Isn't Scrivener all about flexibility?

Presenting the flexible "notebinder", yet another possibility.

KB wrote:For the binder I definitely want... a binder. :) A ring binder is the guiding metaphor, so anything else, as nice as it may look, wouldn't make sense.

Is there any chance for the binder to get a new name (e.g., the "notebook")?

(thank you for not beating me in the head :))

Re: great icon design (except...)

I don't think spiral-binding is the right connotation at all. While it is easy to rip pages out of a spiral-bound notebook, it's rather difficult to insert new ones. The whole notion of using a 3-ring binder is that it is trivial to add, remove, and transpose pages within the binder. I know what yo...

Re: great icon design (except...)

the rings and pages become less obvious (and it gets even worse at 24x24, the small toolbar icon size). I wonder if just lightening the ring a little would accentuate it? I think you can try to exaggerate the rings, as in the image I sent on the first post. By the way, I just noticed a "binder...
