Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

I'd recommend installing iOS 13.1, released this morning, before proceeding with further troubleshooting. Katherine Since the App continues to crash on sync, I was newly setting up the entire iOs sync part this morning, means: I did reset Scrivener first, deleted the app then, deleted dropbox compl...

Syncing is crashing the App on iPadOs 13.1, too.
Is there a work around or recommendation how to proceed for now?
Can I use iCloud to sync?

Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

I just installed iPadOs 13.1 on an iPadPro 2018. Scrivener is starting but crashing when I try to sync. with Dropbox. The Dropbox works fine. After I opened it, it was automatically updated and I had to logon to it again. Still, syncing Scrivener lets the app crash. PS: We do have a Scrivener writer...

Re: Search leads to a trap (Navigation controls disappear)

The workaround is to slide left on any document in the results list, tap "options", and then tap "Reveal in Binder". It's not ideal, but at least I don't have to restart the app.. I certainly hope that there will be an iOS bug repair release soon. Great workaround, thank you for...

Search leads to a trap (Navigation controls disappear)

I saw another user reported that bug already but couldn't see any solution yet, so I decided to show it again. I'm on the latest iOs version, latest scrivener version, using the new iPad Pro. Screenshot 1 .: If I am performing a search and I got a long list of documents found, I may want to scroll d...

Re: KINDLEGEN ... where do you go?

Epub formats do not require KindleGen, only Amazon's proprietary formats (mobi, KF8) do. So the alternative is to compile to whatever alternative format Amazon's tools will accept. Katherine Katherine, thank you for your quick answer. Yes, you are right. The upload will then be done with ePub3, I g...

KINDLEGEN ... where do you go?

Hi team, I'm a little nervous about the fact Amazon hasn't updated the Kindlegen for quite some time and Mojave is keep on notifying me from time to time it's a 32 bit app and needs to be updated. Since Scrivener's Mobi creation (and epub2?) relies on that tool, I now do worry Amazon may drop suppor...

Glitch at font setting (Scriv 3.1.1 / Mac).

If I mark text, click on the right mouse button and chose "font" from the context menu, it shows "underline" hooked although it's not. If I do format a text underline, then the context menu shows not underlined although it is. So something is switched.

Greetings,
Thomas

Re: Scrivener 3.1.1 - Discontinues ePub2

Wow, ePub 3 has been around for nearly five years, so I'm surprised there are still platforms out there that do not support it. Here's an easy way to get Epub 2 support back: Hi KB, Thank you for your answer. This helps for now. I do also agree some portals do need to move forward and adapt the ePu...

Re: Apple not wanting to accept my epub

I have had this issue many times in the past and it's easy to resolve. Actually the error does it tell already. Either your cover picture or an illustration within your compiled ePub is too large. Try to size up all illustrations not larger than 1536 x 2048 px at 72 dpi and it will work fine. Some p...

Scrivener 3.1.1 - Discontinues ePub2

Thank you very much for making Scrivener even better. I do love the dark Mode and already adore the Focus mode. I'm also in to discontinue older formats to benefit of newer ones, like ePub3 taking over for ePub2. However, using Scrivener as my main production tool for selfpublishing, I'm now into tr...

Re: Siri and Scrivener ?

I don't think there's any way of doing this, is there? macOS has a built-in speech feature, which Scrivener uses; I don't think there's anyway to tell Siri to read anything. Have you seen this in other macOS apps? Hi KB, Happy Sunday. :) Yes, I let Siri read my manuscript on the iPad already, which...

Siri and Scrivener ?

I'm a fan of Siri, reading my novel chapters on the iPad Pro and Scrivener for iOs. The voice sounds brilliant and I like to listen to my manuscript as a last check before it goes to the editors and lectors. On the Mac it doesn't work that way yet and I have to use the system default "Anna"...

Scrivener 3.1 - Themes

Hi Scrivener Team,

I like the new "Theme" feature on Scrivener 3.1 and see, it is possible to "import" new themes, too.
But how can I create my own themes to import them and to make them appear in the menu?
Is there a special format required?

Greetings,
Thomas
