Re: Scrivener 3, Scrivener for iPad, and changes at apple.

I would like to stress that my feeling that Scrivener runs fine on Silicon is purely a hunch. :) A genius does not need any hardware to know that everything is going well. 8) 8) 8) Another question. With the announced updates for the adaptations to the new macOs, are there only fixes or also new fe...

Re: Language Tool (LT) on Scrivener ?

... Does Ulysses just send the text to the Language Tool website? Or is integrated as part of their "Correction" feature? Keith Hi Keith, As far as I know, it is integrated. Since I don't have a subscription to Ulysses anymore myself, I can't send a fresh screenshot, but I found this here...

Language Tool (LT) on Scrivener ?

Since the guys from Ulysses have added a spell and style checker to their writing app (LT - Language Tool) I sincerely hope that the Scrivener team will also look into this possibility. The spelling and grammar checker on the Mac in the German edition is practically non-existent, so I always had to ...

Re: How do I get ePub2 back?

ePub 2 is no longer officially supported, I'm afraid. It will still appear as an option for any Compile formats that were previously set up to use ePub 2, but for new formats it is no longer available. Therefore the only way is to duplicate an existing Compile format that supports ePub 2 and modify...

How do I get ePub2 back?

Dear Scrivener Team. I rebuilt my system yesterday and reinstalled Scrivener (Mac). Everything is working brilliantly with one exception: I can't compile ePub2 format anymore. The option is no longer available, only ePub3 is available instead. I need the old setting back because still not all eBook ...

Re: Scrivener 3, Scrivener for iPad, and changes at apple.

Actually I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to say I have a Silicon machine! So, er, Scrivener runs fine on Silicon but I cannot say how I know that. :) Under no circumstances should you say that you have received a transition kit in the form of a Mac Mini for testing purposes. Some developers showed...

macOs "Operating aids" -> Text reading / Voice output

I regularly use the operating aids to have the manuscript text read out to me in order to check it again. What I have noticed for quite some time: When I use the menu option in Scrivener, the generic voice of "Anna" is always used and not the voice of Siri, which I preset in the control pa...

Re: Feedback Wanted: How do you structure your Scriv projects?

Good god, that's impressive. I have a series in a single project, too, but it's only six books — and two of them are novellas. I can't imagine A) the dedication it takes to write 70 novels, and B) the amount of organization it takes to keep them all straight. I salute you, sir. Thank you much. Scri...

macOs Big Sur (Beta 9)

Just in case you haven't seen this yet ...
The dark mode under Big Sur seem to not look well.
I currently keep it on "light mode" which seem to be fine.
Greetings,
Thomas

Big Sur is coming closer ...

Hello swarm intelligence, I am someone who would like to update to the new macOs (11.0) quickly and I know that some of you are probably using the Apple beta program. Have you noticed a fatal showstopper in the now 6th public beta that appears when using Scrivener 3.x under Big Sur?
Greetings, Thomas

Format pending "search and replace"

Scrivener already offers great features for " search " and " search and replace " project wide or within one document. What I do sometimes miss in Scrivener is a format pending search & replace to perform the following task: " A word or sentence " Search and replace...

Re: Feedback Wanted: How do you structure your Scriv projects?

I try to keep the structure as "flat" as possible cause I am putting an entire novel series into one project (Currently 70+ single novels). Folders do separate the single novels, documents represent chapters, No scenes required . I'm not changing the viewpoint (scenes) within one chapter. ...
