Check the link provided that the insert function hasn't been toggled on. From what I've been reading its on by default and will be fixed on the next iteration. Lots of people are reporting this. For those who are looking for the option, it can be found under: Options —> Editing —> Options (tab) —> U...
Yesterday I tried to use my Scrivener, 3.0 beta and guess what, it would not open. My version stopped working on Sep 30, and on Oct 1 it was dead. How could you miss this? Each time you open the Beta it gives you the expiration date? You have to acknowledge it each and every time to use the softwar...
If possible try using a different mouse. This is to rule out the problem of the mouse failing with the buttons failing. Also, as is in some cases, you have the latest drivers.
When you first open the beta it should tell you both what version you have as with for how long its active: Beta .23 ends on the 30th of September while .24 will end on 31 Oct. Also if you click on the check for updates it will also notify you if there is an update as well and ask if you want to dow...
Wait, are we supposed to be concerned that they haven't released an update before the end of the evaluation date even if they've never missed one? Or are we concerned that they will and want to be one of the ones posting that they did? Dang Mr. Kotter I'm so confused.
Normally I would say Yes to that idea as I've used it on previous builds, but not this time, thus why I had to go into the registry itself and remove them which I'm loathed to do even with backups. Don't know if its because I'm also part of the Fast Track with Microsoft's Beta testing of Windows. I'...
After further troubleshooting I found that the entries were listed not under the 64bit version entries in the Registry keys but under the 32bit version. I've only been using he 64bit version on my system. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall As for Scriv...
When looking through the Apps & Features of Win10 there was an entry still for Scrivener 2.9.0.22. I had used the update feature to test its feature. When clicked on the remove option was greyed out. I then uninstalled 2.0.0.23 and now it to is showing as still being listed with the uninstall fe...
Ditto for me as well. The only option I have is that it closes the window, updates and then I have to reopen it. The only reason it should ask to reboot is if there is parts of an application open that needs to be closed so as to not have any conflict.
I'm not having that problem after I had completely uninstalled Scrivener since using the update feature way back when. I did see what you had talked about and after opening several different projects none show what you have. Although some words are still blurred, doubled stamped as it were with such...
By drag and drop, are your just actually copying it and pasting the file directly into Scrivener 3 and not importing it? This would explain the notes not being copied. Or did you import it from its ver 1 to ver 3? If not, that would be the best way to do so. Be aware though that due to changes in th...
