Re: Time to start salivating for the next release

When the new one is released .10 should inform you. ... This should ease some fears. No fears here. But I would love to know whether the next release is the production version or another beta. Either is fine, but I've been itching to send L&L money for a year now. :) From all that is being said...

Re: Time to start salivating for the next release

When the new one is released .10 should inform you. I had mine pop up with that when I had it check for the last two updates. This should ease some fears.

Re: Scrivener version 3 Release date?

This comes up alot due to people seeing the end date. Not to worry. They have been releasing a new version before said date. Usually 1 - 2 days before its set to expire.

Your not the first and prob won't be the last until the final version is release.

:D

Re: Format painting?

Given how far we are into the beta I would suspect that such a request would not be possible this late into the beta. It would have had to have been sorta implemented back in the coding and to add it now would possibly delay/alter/or inhibit other features.

Re: Scrivener 3 for Windows but when?

Now now, there is no reason to flame them just because they made a mistake and then got a little heated about it. By the way, the Windows developers are Australian and Bulgarian, and those keeping reports tested, wrangled and retested are in the US. :) My apologizes I did not mean to offend any of ...

Re: Scrivener 3 for Windows but when?

Just curious, I have been waiting for the new Windows version upgrade but I do not see it any nearer... Please understand that I would love to test Scrivener for windows. Please understand that you have not released a beta version since 2017. At least that's how we do it in the states. I refuse to ...

Re: Opinion on latest Windows Beta

If a Beta was not marked as a Beta then it would not have been a Beta as is implied when downloaded than said product wouldn't be such for than it was a misnomer. Personally if you downloaded the said product and never went to the forum talking about what was lacking in the Beta you are missing a we...

Compile error when converting to word.

After compiling a story into Word .docx format with Times New Roman as the default the hard returns are defaulting to Courier New. I could just edit them out but that is dependent on length and not easily changed overall.

Re: [JH] Beta Installer leaves old listings under Programs and Features

I have not seen it duplicated on my end. I've used the update feature since 2.9.0.6 and other previous installations do not show.

Re: Download Link for latest Scrivener for Windows 3 Beta? AND questions on Beta

Yes. I have both. One folder is designated Scrivener Beta 3.0 while I have the other is Scrivener 1.9. I ensure that folders are clearly marked so not to place one set of work in the other.

Also you can have both up an running.

Re: Scrivener 3 for Windows but when?

The problem is what is available to use vs what must be created/tested and implemented. Basically the underlying code that allowed the development of Scrivener for the Mac was readily available it seemed. For Windows the api's may not have been available from the SDK and had to or has to be created ...

Only with a copy of one that I'm not afraid of loosing. For like many there are still problems and has been posted to Use At Your Own Risk for 'important' work. As I've covered 'supposably'  with getting the new version working on that copy should pose no prob as publishing is still mon...

Re: No indication of space when sentence wraps.

Have noticed this in both the beta and 1.9.8. When a sentence wraps around to the next line with invisible on there is no indication of there being one from one word to the next. When the section is compiled and looking over the document in Word (my default program) several of the words will have t...

This also happened when going through the tutorial. It was with the newest version of Word 'docx'. When I went to a different one 'doc' there was no separation.
