Re: [LH3987] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

So far as we are collecting further tiny details, I would share this morning observation. It seems that cursor constantly jump up exactly to its previous position. That is: (1) I put cursor somewhere in the line of one document (in Scrivening mode), then go down to the next document and press 'Enter...

Re: [B23] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

I didn't want to mention it before, as I wasn't completely sure I wasn't hitting any keys inadvertently. But now I'm quite sure it's not me: Occasionally (twice this morning) the cursor has jumped on me in regular, non-Scrivening mode. There was no line wrap going on either. Just me typing along at...

Re: [B23] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

The effect happens when you are typing a word that will need to be wrapped to the next line. The first letter(s) are fine, but once you type the letter that causes the wrapping, the word wraps onto the next line and the cursor jumps to the end of the previous document. The reverse is also true. If ...

Re: [B23] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

In my case, it doesn't seem to be triggered by reaching the end of a line, i.e. I can't tell what makes it happen. Just try to type some letters and spaces in a new paragraph from the start of the line. Nothing is expected to happen until you are nearing the end-of-line area. Type slower, and just ...

[LH3987] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

I've never experienced such a problem in previous versions, and it is hard to believe that such a catastrophic bug still exists at this stage of development, but here is the way I get it: As usual, I use a standard Scrivener Tutorial for replicating bugs. I open 'Tutorial' and select 'Get Oriented' ...

Re: [Beta 22] Hard to use unstyled paste in footnotes

I am afraid I could not reproduce this. Can you please provide more info about how you create the notes and the steps, including the shortcuts that you trigger. Using Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Shift+V works out of the box with a new comment created with a shortcut Shift+F4. Well, I have a shortcut Alt+Shift+...

Re: [Beta 22] Hard to use unstyled paste in footnotes

Can confirm: (1) the behaviour described is by no means what a user expects, so quite annoying; (2) it seems essential—at least for people producing some kind of research.

[LH2805] RC1: Style shortcuts don't work in Composition mode

When in Composition mode, you can change style via context menu, or via Style Panel, but shortcuts set for styles do not work. Not sure it's normal. Is it?

Re: [LH3539] : Position of the cursor is expected to be preserved between sessions, bit it's not

To me it seems as if the cursor remains in place. But the file opens at a random place. I understand that instead it should open at the place, where I left it .As does Scrivener 1.9. So this is clrealy abug. or not? This is definitely a bug, which was filed as such last April. It should be noted, t...

Re: [LH1781] - Page layout / Document View is broken (see images)

Indeed this change was by design to match Mac. Mac uses the page color for the side margins. In the next version we will provide an option to adjust the margins color in fixed width editor mode. tiho_d, thank you very much indeed for the explanation. The funny thing is, I personally just love wide ...

I am using Inspector for that. )) It didn't occur to me when B17 arrived that it could be so irritating. )))

P.S. ...and Page View is unavailable in Scrivenings Mode.

Re: [LH1781] - Page layout / Document View is broken (see images)

Well, after working for a couple days with this background bug, it feels really weird. That is, while having lots of options to make the writing environment perfect or nearly perfect for anyone, you have to look at this annoying background issue in front of you every minute that you are writing. Yes...
