Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

I have only just begun using WinScriv, and hadn't noticed this behaviour until now. I have Scrivener open on my Mac (3.1.4) and Windows (1.9.14) at the moment - I can confirm that, on the Mac , scrolling through a Scrivenings session with the Trackpad/Mouse does not move the cursor focus. Nor would...

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

This is unusable like this. I can't predict where the cursor will end up and I change things that I did not intend to change. The scrolling and focus seems to be flying all over the place and if this is not resolved I will have to discontinue using Scrivener. Then use the non beta. EMPisek, I am af...

Three Blind Lice, again, sorry for unnecessary advice. Your experience seems to be quite exotic already, but I think it could be made even more so. All best wishes. ))

Re: [LH4063] The project will now be closed

@tiho_d: Appreciate the well-meant advice, but keep in mind that everyone has their own circumstances and working environment. If you sit at the same machine every day, storing your data on that machine's HD makes a lot of sense. For others working on different computers (or like in my case, laptop...

Re: Almost a Bug: A couple of Essential Compile Options Missed

So (1): While there is a special tab for ‘Footnotes and Comments’ options, I am sure the option to assign all footnotes (and probably endnotes) a special style—built-in or, better, user-defined—is obvious necessity and hopefully not a fundamental technical problem. In compile you can override the f...

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

The devs have already stated that the bug has been fixed so that its behavior matches the Mac behavior. THAT IS SPEC. The Windows version is not supposed to be adding differences in if not absolutely necessary. If you want to argue that both versions should do it differently, Wish List is the right...

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

Frankly speaking, I am not sure such a problem could be solved by a switcher—just because it is about some fundamental principle, not an option. Why would you say it can't be solved by a mode? I don't think this is a difficult problem technically speaking. There was a bug altering the behaviour, so...

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

This is by design, and funny enough the old behavior was also reported as a bug and the current behavior was requested. :-) The current behavior is also the MAC and Scrivener v1 behavior. I find the "correct" behaviour baffling since the focus is jumping all over the place based solely on...

[Suggestion] Almost a Bug: A couple of Essential Compile Options Missed

So far as the Compiler has been or at least next to be ready for release, any proposal about missed options in it sounds a little belated. I do believe, however, that the following matter is not only practically, but (even more) conceptually important, and in a way should be considered as a bug. I m...

It definitely worked in Beta 23.

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

This is by design, [...] The current behavior is also the MAC and Scrivener v1 behavior. So far as all is OK with cursor behavior in a single document, the matter is hardly worth further discussion. Even though some switcher (i.e. option) for this behavior could possibly be a great decision—say, in...

Re: Cursor changes position when scrolling in Scrivenings mode

Can confirm, seems like a piece of bug still in.

P.S. Just to notice—while scrolling, as top edge of another document reach the top edge of the screen, the document becomes current in the Binder.

Re: Inspector Footnotes cannot be exported as footnotes, only endnotes

Do I have it correct that in the Windows 3.0 Beta, it is not possible to export inspector footnotes as footnotes in Word (that is, on the bottom of the page on which the note occurs) but only as endnotes? Can confirm: when compiling to .ODT format, Beta 24 exports footnotes as endnotes. I am sure i...

Re: [LH3987] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

Very often ... it seems there are TWO cursor markers (I use a 3-pixel wide blue cursor) right after the cursor shift. The place the cursor shifts to seems to be either the end of the document immediately prior, or sometimes the end of the document two documents prior (in one case, the document chan...
