Inline LaTeX with MMD 6

Hi, Thanks to those who have detailed some of the MMD6 changes. I'm using the ````{=latex} \begin{equation} ... \end{equation} ```` for block LaTeX equations, figures, tables etc. and it's working well. I want to use an inline LaTeX maths expression though, to put Greek symbols in my text, which I c...

Re: Upgraded to Scrivener 3.0.3 - LaTeX won't compile now

Thanks - yes, it was a pretty dumb thing to do. Upgrading to MMD6 and making the BibTex change appears to have fixed most of the issues.

Thanks,
Emma

Upgraded to Scrivener 3.0.3 - LaTeX won't compile now

Hi, Stupidly I upgraded to 3.0.3 thinking nothing major could have changed (I compile for MMD to Latex). Now the mmd-xxx-begin/header/footer.tex files have been renamed to mmd6-xxx-header.tex etc., and my .tex file will not compile at all, as it cannot find any of the preamble or begin document stuf...

Missing apostrophe in PDF

Hi, I'm using Scrivener 3 on a Mac (macOS 10.12.6), compiling for MMD to LaTeX, then using TexStudio to convert my LaTeX to a PDF. In Scrivener Preferences I have 'Use smart quotes in new projects' checked and 'Disable smart quotes, dashes and ellipses in script mode' unchecked. When I type somethin...

Re: LaTeX header and begin document components missing in compile

Hi,

It appears to be a MMD6 issue as I've reverted to MMD 5.4.0 and everything is working fine. Think I'll wait a while before updating :-)

thanks,
Emma

Re: LaTeX header and begin document components missing in compile

Hmm. I know I did something that got around this, but I'm not at home right now and on a work computer, so I can't check what I did to my metadata to make compilation work with no prob. WIll try to check in later. I'd appreciate it, as it's the same every time for me! Even deleting the whole tex di...

Re: LaTeX header and begin document components missing in compile

Is this an MMD 6 issue? Ah, that’s the problem. MMD6 changed the metadata keys used to refer to includes. Scrivener will be generating “latex input” keys, not the new ‘latex leader’ and ‘latex begin’ keys. That’s an easy workaround: type in the metadata you need into the Meta-Data compile option pa...

Re: Scrivener 3 and LaTeX compile options

No, sorry, I hadn't worked out that you could edit the formats by double-clicking on them - just couldn't see where to find the LaTeX options after I'd imported them. I should have enough to get on with now. The new version does look good, and I can see the advantages of a lot of the changes, just a...

Re: Scrivener 3 and LaTeX compile options

Thanks, I went through the interactive tutorial. Does that mean I need to add Custom metadata entries for my LaTeX options header/begin document/footer entries? If so, does it matter what I call them? It's really not clear to me how all this is supposed to work... The main reason I'm using Scrivener...

Scrivener 3 and LaTeX compile options

Hi, I've updated to Scrivener 3 and am now having misgivings. I have a custom thesis template from Scrivener 2 that I imported, that had custom LaTeX header, begin document and footer entries. I can't see LaTeX Options in the compile dialogue. For the metadata, it says there should be a Metadata doc...

Re: Numbered list - lines not breaking after each item

Hi, Many thanks for your quick response. Sorry, yes I'm using Scrivener 2.8.1.2 and Multimarkdown 5.4.0 (I think, at least that's what the command-line version is). I suspect that using the Scrivener list to start with did something weird to the page, even deleting all text and retrying didn't work....

Numbered list - lines not breaking after each item

Hi, This is my first post here so apologies if I do anything wrong. I've had a search and can't find a similar issue. I've used Scrivener with MMD and LaTeX to write a Masters dissertation and a few smaller documents and generally managed to sort out any problems. I'm currently setting up a PhD thes...
