Re: Images DPI

Thanks for the detailed replies. Know I didn’t start this thread (apologies to Mick for intruding), but there is a lot here that, however arcane, helps to scrape away some of the fog from the mud. Now that we are all hopefully on the same page, the main problem we are facing when thinking about maki...

Re: Images DPI

Thank you. I need to digest. Understand all the words, but not why images inside and outside of Scrivener are treated differently. The same image dragged into Scrivener looks smaller than the same image compiled from outside Scrivener. If a user wants to display an image at 100%, we know it will sca...

Re: Images DPI

Ouch. Brain needs to work too hard. So if a user wants to display an image at 100%, they can use the placeholder tag and the ebook=100% setting but keep the original file outside of Scrivener, but once inside Scrivener it is restricted to a reduced pixel-defined output? Mick's original image is 1080...

Re: Problem with mixed quotation marks

Sorry to hear it didn't work. For me, highlighting all the text in a document (or multiple documents using scrivenings) does work with the conversion command. Wonder why it doesn't work on your project.

FYI, Ioa is head of support. Keith is the only Mac developer (and founder).
Behold, what goes in, comes out.
Ioa, this is genuine ignorance and a desire to learn, not an attempt to inflame. What goes in, as far as I see it, is a paperback-size image. What comes out is something much smaller. It doesn't look like a front cover from a book, f...

Very much with you. I use the option to set a hefty post-paragraph amount of spacing to achieve something similar. Have grown to need to see white space between paragraphs when writing or editing.

Re: Separating scrivenings with a blank line (or two) in version 3.

Yeah, it’s an oddly worded option, but with that checkbox enabled it’s identical to the “Corners” setting in Scrivener 3, and with the option disabled it’s identical to the “Dividers” setting. By “single line” here, it means that very literally—not that there is a single empty line, but that there ...

The politest and most diplomatic rejoinder on a forum. Ever. Love the civility of such a decorous reply.

Bravo.

S2 had line breaks. Have I misunderstood?

Re: Footer placement in PDF compile

The position of headers and footers is calculated by placing them halfway between the start of the margin (that is, where the text ends) and the edge of the printable area of the page. Hi, Keith I have been trying to use your instructions in S3 to move the footer in a PDF up by a couple of millimet...
