Re: Is it possible to edit an image we put in our scrivener project ?

Ah, choice. It's what makes each user (feel) omnipotent.

Heart Scrivener.

Re: Is it possible to edit an image we put in our scrivener project ?

There are a few new capabilities that enhance linked images (as opposed to placeholder links referred to above) in the editor as well... Lots of good tips. Two additional things I like about using placeholder links are that they help to keep projects lighter by being text only, and they save the us...

Re: Using other file-type in a screenplay project

CMD 8 should do what you want, switching script mode on or off while writing.

Re: Font in Binder turns white after clicking on it - Scrivener 3

I don't know of a setting that would cause that, and I have never seen it happen to a Scrivener project/binder. Have you tried quitting and restarting Scrivener? Restarting the Mac? Do the white labels persist after a restart? Anything you can tweak in the appearance options for the binder? Binder O...

Re: Is it possible to edit an image we put in our scrivener project ?

You might find it best to store the images in a folder outside of Scrivener and reference them using image placeholder tags (see sections 15.6.5 and 15.6.6 of the manual). This means that the images can easily—and repeatedly, if necessary—be edited in external programs or replaced. For example, comp...

Have you styled the text as required by ePub3 and KF8?

Re: Unexpected behaviour with superscripts and subscripts in epub3 compilation.

I think the superscripts and subscripts are faked/relative to their attached words/the baseline.

Unattached, they float and are treated as regular baseline text during ePub 3 compile (unless given a named style).

So I assume the behaviour is expected.

Be interesting to hear from Keith or Ioa.

Re: How to maintain Editor fonts in ePub 3 output?

I think we're on the same page.

Yes, your suggestion for assigning styles is a super bit of programming . . . though I am glad I don't have to go through a long project double-checking every element is exactly right.

Yes, defined styles are compiled as semantic HTML elements. It's the hassle with an existing project of going through the text and creating and applying XX different styles to words or sections of text.

Is that not right?

Re: Paragraph Indenting

Ah. THAT detail makes a BIG difference. Was unclear in the earlier posts AND in the Keyboard Preferences instructions. But now that I've made sense of it, I'm also seeing the previous missing logic in making this an app-specific custom configuration. Instead of the 3modifies+arrow combo, I set mine...

Re: Scr3: Context-Menu for emptying trash is missing

Been removed by design: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=242359#p242359 I see. Seems a little bit odd, though, because it's just a basic function. After all it's really the only thing I want to do with the trash. But okay... JC Seems to be a question of space and priorities. ...

Re: How to maintain Editor fonts in ePub 3 output?

As I understand the information provided in the manual, beyond basic attributes (such as italics, bold, and font colour—as sampled in your image above of the compiled text—but not underlining) ePub3 needs defined styles to compile semantic HTML elements. Without defined styles, paragraphs are compil...

Re: Scrivener User Manual Corrections

The manual uses both ePub3 and ePub 3 (with or without the space before the 3).

This impacts on search results.
