Re: Announcement of new Beta Versions

There is only one beta for Windows. If your beta copy stops working then it is out of date. There is only one listed here in the beta area and its numbered (...17). Just because you want to stare down a date reference, does not make this confusing! I rather people post bugs here that actually helps ...

I tried and could not reproduce your problem. Maybe screen shots would help.

Re: FAVORITES - Confusing dynamic menus,

Take a look at the attachment from beta 16. Notice "Favorite Projects" from the "File" menu. This is Not the same as Project Bookmarks from the "Project" menu. More menus does not make the program easier especially if they are dynamic and you don't usually see them duri...

[Suggestion] FAVORITES - Confusing dynamic menus,

Someone on FaceBook asked about "Favorites". When I look at its implementation, I find it very clumsy and the reason the person had questions and problems. Instead of having different menu choices, there should only be one. Adding, Clearing, and Removing should be a selection on the dialog...

[#14] Compile - Section Layout and Include Highlights

In Compile... When I click on a section layout (center), the SELECTED (checked) documents (on the right) with the matching section type is supposed to HIGHLIGHT. Instead, matching section types are randomly highlighted whether checked or not. In dark mode, some section types are white while others a...

[Beta 13] Compile Not Complete

Compile has many issues and does not work completely. I can't understand why this was not documented in the release notes. Instead I had to get the official info from the Interactive Demo. Really???? I hope you focus on making Compile feature and functionally complete along with templates in the nex...

[Beta 13] Error On First Load

After installing the beta and running it the first time an error displayed. It said something about not being able to create a temporary file/folder. I could not remember the exact wording since it only occurred the first time I ran Beta 13.

Re: No Label and Status

Please, read my post inside this thread: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=55371 Yes that works for now, Its not a good solution for consistency or other users for future release. So I hope the controls are either redesigned or mouse clicks handled differently like y...

[Possible Bug 12] Compile Page Break, Page Number

I'm having a hard time in Compile getting page breaks to work and for page numbers to display. Possibly it is the result of the user  , but it could be a BUG...ugh.

Also, editing a format's name does not appear in the list until you leave Compile and then return.

No Label and Status

When the Inspector is open, the Label and Status buttons are visible. The first time the user presses it a display of the Project Settings appears. This is frustrating if the user only wants to change the current document info. Actually, this is an intermittent problem with this feature. When clicki...

[LH3343] Sync Dialog Box Too Small

The Sync dialog box is too narrow (FILE->Sync->With External Folders...). It needs to be at least twice as wide. Otherwise, much of the dialog box is hidden and needs to manually be resized.

[NB] COMPILE - FOCUS FIRST

It would benefit beta users if the Scrivener programmer (s) focus on finishing COMPILE before all the many little bugs, additions, and changes. Having Compile complete and fully functional makes using the "beta" more of a beta then the alpha we've all been testing/working with. More users ...
