Re: Any good resources for 1970s fashion?

I'm surprised no one has recommended http://www.retrojunk.com/ yet. You can set filters according to decade and enjoy a blast from whichever past you like. Movies, music, TV commercials, toys...it's all in there.

Re: I have not been here for a while.

I'm seeing an uptick of activity in one of the Scrivener FB groups I'm a part of. I thought maybe some folks got Scrivener for Christmas so new people had joined, but maybe some just prefer social media? I'm rather partial to forums myself.

Re: I have not been here for a while.

Speaking for myself, I need to step up the time I spend on the forum as a whole as well as here in this subforum. I had assumed this was more of a "casual" subforum where one could just come and chat. My experimentation with Scrivener got sidetracked severely earlier this year by RL, and I...

Re: currently reading

Hi everyone! Newbie here :D I've finished The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie recently. Yes, I'm a big fan of fantasy :D The trilogy I mentioned is just gorgeous. I liked the second part most of all (it's called Before They Are Hanged). Strongly recommend to those who love dark fantasy as I do...

Re: "Series Bible" in a different project than the novels in a series?

I guess it also depends on how much information is in your series bible. If you have entire histories, maps, languages, etc, you certainly would want it in its own project. My own current project is a fantasy set in this world, so I've just been making use of the "Research" folder and it's...

Re: newest windows update doesn't work

I installed the 6/12 update and noticed the load time takes a very long time. Then, I also noticed there was another update ... to the 6/12 update ... dated 6/16. However, when I go to Scrivener to check updates it says I have the most current version. Not sure what is going on here... But, there d...

Re: newest windows update doesn't work

Hi all, We've put up a new version of 1.9.8 which should fix the slowdown and freezing that some people are experiencing. Please clear your browser cache (or use a second browser), then download the new installer. You can install this over your existing installation or do a completely fresh install...

Re: newest windows update doesn't work

Eeks, have you tried the usual post-update troubleshooting stuff? ⋅  Download the current installer fresh and run it, overwiting the updater version. ⋅  Reboot the machine. I have not yet, and unfortunately time won't allow me to until this evening...work, family duties, and so ...
