Re: RC9 - Bug: Compiling to DocX does not respect right margin setting

I uninstalled the HiDPI version and installed the 2.9.9.9 normal version to see if there would be any difference, but there was not. In both versions, when compiling to Word formats, the text overruns the right margin. I think there is something going on in your customized compile format. Try chang...

Re: Folder "Total Target" Bug?

Jester, Perfect, thank you! I was missing the some of the fields in Outline Mode. Once I enabled fields in Outliner Options like "Target" and "Total Words", the rest of it fell into place. I appreciate your help! Cool. Glad it worked for you. Also check out the User Manual that ...

Re: Doing Find in Scrivenings Mode

Hi all... just an update. The workaround above continues to work EVERY SINGLE TIME. This is likely a good programming clue, for what it's worth. Warning: nonsense coming in case programmers want a laugh: I suspect my project is improperly setting some value that all projects share. The newly create...

Re: Folder "Total Target" Bug?

The "Total Progress" doesn't show anything; it's blank. "Total Target" is a different field on each line of the Outline, If it can't be changed from "0", why's it there? I attached a picture so you can see what I'm seeing. Scrivener_Total-Target.jpg Maybe I'm just not ...

Re: Folder "Total Target" Bug?

I think this is a bug, but since I'm new to Scrivener, maybe I'm doing something wrong... I can go to Project->Project Targets and set the Total Word Target for the Entire Document, but I'm unable to do it for individual Folders (in the Outline). For instance, if I have a 3 Act Structure and want a...

Re: Using Arrow keys in Scrivenings mode causes strangeness

Weird. Mine was already off. So I turned it on and it acts strangely. I didn't try as many combinations. But it did do odd things with the binder, and once allowed me to arrow down from one document to the other, but not back up. I turned it back off and it reverted to the same behavior as before.....

Re: Using Arrow keys in Scrivenings mode causes strangeness

IMO: LOW URGENCY In Scrivenings mode, when I use the arrow keys to attempt to go across a document boundary, the binder moves to the document but the cursor stays in the original document. At that point, I cannot use the mouse to select the document that the binder thinks the cursor is in. I can cl...

Re: BUG: The "Find" dialog box inserts the clipboard content automatically

I've actually seen this happen in other programs, too. Notepad++ does it with currently selected text. Wordpad does it with copied text. Wouldn't surprise me if Word did it, but I don't have a copy to check. LibreOffice does not. The real question is, does the Mac version do this? Mac Scrivener doe...

For projects, yes. There are still some issues with feature parity, but the projects from Scrivener 3 Mac/Windows are the same.

Re: BUG: The "Find" dialog box inserts the clipboard content automatically

When opening the "Find" dialog box, all content from the clipboard is inserted automatically. This is a new bug from the latest RC 2.9.9.9 Beta. I'm not sure this is a bug but more of a matter of unintended results from an overly aggressive helpful feature that is working out of its scope...

Re: Not sure if this is a bug, exactly

1. Upper right corner (whether maximized or not). EDIT 1: FWIW, the target session reset notification (reset at a specified time - 10 am) comes up in the middle of the screen. EDIT 2: Closed and reopened Scrivener, and another reset notification came up in the lower right corner. Continued to play ...

Re: Keyboard shortcut for Typewriter scrolling does not work

RC9 Ctrl-G, Ctrl-T no longer toggles Typewriter scrolling. I tested in the Main Editor and in Comp Mode, and the keyboard shortcut works for neither. Best, Jim Confirm. The Typewriter scrolling icon (if you put it in your toolbar) does work to toggle on-off. So does the View->Text Editing->Typewrit...

Re: [LH4361] Printing problem

This has not been fixed in 2.9.9.9, unfortunately. Printing directly (Print current document function) to a local (network connected) laserjet printer will not produce a printed document. As @Jestar and @MFS600 report, to produce a printed document, one must print the current document to pdf first,...

Re: Not sure if this is a bug, exactly

Could you all please share: 1. Where the notification appears, 2. which version of Scrivener you are using (Hi-DPI or standard), 3. your screen resolution, 4. Windows display scaling setting, 5. Windows version, 6. and whether you're on a single or multi-monitor setup? For me: 1. Upper right corner...
