Re: Can one prevent a folder / document (including their sub folders / documents) in the Binder to be changed / edited?

Hello Jim, So L&L against locking a doc / folder, strange. Yes, a good idea, just using a label. Like that, if I understand it right: https://i.imgur.com/6HWzMx5.png Or even another background color for a doc (instead of white, cannot find the setting for this). Of course, this won't stop drag a...

Re: List: How could one move all of the selected items one level (or more) down / to the right in a single step?

Select the entire list, then press shift-tab. This will reduce every indent by one level. It will mean that the existing top level bullets will lose their bullets, but you may find that more easy to rectify than going through every sub level one by one. I had tried it already (it deltes the marked ...

Identical text blocks at different positions: editing one block changes the others automatically?

I have identical text blocks / phrases / parts to be shown at different positions. I want to edit only one of the identical text blocks / phrases / parts. The other identical text blocks / phrases / parts should adapt automatically. What would be the best way to do it? For example (I edit one of the...

Re: Create a link / bookmark / cross-reference or something (in a document / folder) to a text phrase in the same docume

Sorry for my bad expression, I meant one can cross-reference / link text phrases in Word, Libre/OpenOffice with another document (as far as I remember), so link text in one document to another. I'm not an expert, but if you c...

Re: Create a link / bookmark / cross-reference or something (in a document / folder) to a text phrase in the same docume

As I’m sure you were told in response to your original post, the comparison between Scrivener and Word, etc. is I mistaken from this pint of view. I do not remember, sorry. But I would say, I do not compare anything here. And how could a / the comparison (if it was one) be mistaken? The text in a W...

Re: Create a link / bookmark / cross-reference or something (in a document / folder) to a text phrase in the same docume

If you put a phrase into its own document So I would have to create a new document in the Binder only for doing this? Everywhere you include that tag, the contents of the document titled "Row your boat" would be substituted upon compile. Upon compile only? ...ah, in the Beta version...I s...
