Re: Database program. Provue Panorama offer

Hi I think you are right. I've never used Panorama but I am a great user of DEVONthink Pro and I wouldn't do my accounts in DEVONthink Pro :) Actually I do my accounts in Numbers. DEVONthink Pro is for storing files of many types and provides a superb system for finding them and creating relationshi...

Re: scrivener project

Is it reasonable to assume that I will be able to get to the text and pull out the media files without Scrivener? The short answer is yes . If you go to a Scrivener database/archive in the Finder and control click on it then you will see Show Package Contents . Now you will see the files that make ...

Maybe Nabokov would have been better off using a notebook? :)

I think that's the case.

As an aside I'd rather like multiple document notes like Ulysses.

Re: question about TotallyWrite

Why "Pro"? I am still wondering what "Pro" adds useful to OmniOutliner. Hi Here's the feature comparison at Omni Group website: http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omnioutliner/stdvspro/ Okay, I know you might say: well what is there of any use? The only thing I haven't used y...

Re: question about TotallyWrite

My only question about your process is why you need OmniOutliner. You can start a Scriv project and place all of your early notes in the Research folder. They're in an outline form and you may copy a set for developing in the Draft folder. I know, to each his own, but the use of OO strikes me as a ...

Re: Great and worth app but...

Just start pointing people here. http://www.apple.com/feedback/pages.html I've done it. It's not a huge problem for me because I keep footnotes in a separate file in Scrivener and use a reference numbering system to match them up at the end. However as I'm a big fan of Pages I would like it to be m...

Re: Tree - pretty nice Outliner

I've just looked at it. It's a really lovely idea. I'm going to keep it around until the end of the trial period and I am going to try writing something in it. The help is in Japanese which looks fabulous but is not very helpful to me :) Fortunately I think once you get the hang of it then it's pret...

Re: Bento

Hi I'm a great fan and user of Bento. It is for storing personal data and I find it to be most excellent for this purpose. One use I have for example is a pictorial database for the plants in my garden. I cannot remember the names very well so when I buy one I take a picture, and in neighbouring fie...
