Re: Together vs DevonThink 2.0

Hi

Yes, I'm pretty sure the package in DevonThink 2.0 updates incrementally with Time Machine as does the package in Scrivener.

Re: Compile Draft and Formatting

Hi I think you might want to think about how formatting and styles are applied in word-processing files. I write this because I suspect you have some paragraphs with first line indentation within the style for those paragraphs and some without. In Scrivener you can look at this by using "Show R...

Re: Issues with Summarizer and other questions from a newbie

I ended up purchasing TextSoap and the problem was solved. Hi I use TextSoap a lot, it is very useful thing. It is one of very few programs which allows you to use RegEx on styled text. This is a very useful capability. By far the biggest exponent of RegEx with styled text is Nisus. I don't use the...

BBCode on and off

Hi This is not a question about Scrivener but rather the Lit & Lat phpBB forum. I find that my ability to use BBCode is erratic. Sometimes when I log in I can, sometimes I cannot. In my Control Panel I have it set such that I should be able to use it all the time. With this posting I can use it,...

Re: Problems Importing Web Pages

Hi

You might like to try control click on the web-archive icon in the binder and then use open in External Editor. That will probably open it in Safari.

The web-archive that scrivener saves is I think a regular Safari web-archive but within the project package.

Re: Write Room like interface

Hi This is how I have mine. I really like the extent to which the full screen view can be customised with Scrivener. As an aside: Once you have it set up the way you like, you can save your preferences so that if the Scrivener preference file becomes corrupted you can easily just load your saved one...

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

As a student, albeit a very mature one, okay, a very old one :) I will say that I have no problem at all with paying $20 for the forthcoming 1.5 now to be called 2.0.

Re: What is an Avatar Image?

Link off-site: Enter the URL of the location containing the avatar image you wish to link to. Is this the address in the top part of the screen? I've just realised I did not answer Aisling13's question very well :| I didn't read it properly. To link off-site you put a URL to an image you have on so...

Re: What is an Avatar Image?

Hi Ailing13 To add an avatar image go to the control panel and there click on Profile tab, and there on "Edit Avatar". Mine is "Linked off site". I don't remember if this forum is set to allow them to be simply uploaded from your computer. The original intention of these images w...

Re: Blog

Hi I'll just mention that MarsEdit keeps posts offline. I create them in it and then put them online when I wish to. Some of mine sit in gestation in MarsEdit for quite a long time :) I think the desire to float images left and right is very sensible. I do this myself. Here is my blog: http://www.pa...

Re: Blog

Also could someone recommend a piece of software that would allow me to draft a blog entry and then include a picture that is floated left/right? The blog software I use is MarsEdit by Red Sweater. I find this to be really excellent. You can use it without any knowledge of HTML or CSS but a bit of ...
