Thanks, rdale, but what I'm asking is where does Scapple auto-save documents? Since saving a back-up to a hard device, I can't get Scapple to return to auto-saving in the same place it used before. It wants to auto-save to the hard device which is no longer plugged in. The reason for this is the lac...
This may sound like a silly question, but where on your hard drive does Scapple actually save your files? The reason I ask is this... I wanted to make a hard back-up of my file. Because Scapple lacks a 'back-up to' feature like Scriv, I used 'save as'. After having saved the file and removed the har...
I was wondering if L&L had come up with a fix for this as they have done for the Scriv issue. I did indeed find my licence number and it was a lot easier to retrieve then I feared.

Scapple is telling me I need to input my licence number and refusing to open until I do. I have downloaded the update, but it's still doing it. It's frustrating because I can't use Scapple. I *could* dig around in my records until I find my licence number, but isn't there a fix?
AFAIK, these dictionaries are Scrivener-wide, not project-specific. They should already be available in any new project in Scrivener. The autocomplete box is not scrivener-wide. If you start a new project with the same names you have to input them all into the new project manually. You can't even d...
You could put the image into project notes so that when you open your file the image is there in the Inspector pane. You would have to do this for every file in the chapter though.
As far as I know, you can't change a project to a different template after you've created it, but you can create a new project using your chosen template and then drag and drop all your files from the old project to the new one (Binder to Binder). Scrivener will create a duplicate so your files will...
Thanks, talktidy, but sadly that doesn't work. You might be talking abut the auto-correct list which, I believe, is cross-project. Auto-complete seems to be a standalone thing. Thanks for your input, though.
Thank you so much. And incidentally it's not just in split screen but single editor too. And of course it affects all projects - even brand new ones - as layouts is a cross-project feature. I don't suppose there's a handy workaround is there? Is it an actual bug or specific to my version?
... returning to the board you were just at should do so in such a way that you don’t lose your place. It would be nice if the same principle could be applied to say Project Notes and snapshots. With snapshots, scrivener not only loses your place but closes the snapshot! Of course locking the Inspe...
Nice to hear, Amber. Incidentally, whilst I've got access to a Scrivener top bod, any chance you could take a look at my little layouts problem posted a few items below this one (Mrs Tiggy-Winkle Jan 13)? It's driving me nuts!
