Re: Automatic Backup: similar to auto-save.

I want Auto-backup to be configured by time. A very useful user function.

"Project too big?" Then disable this very reasonable feature.

Keyboards ;This is a perrty cool thing:::

I have a number of heavier, tough keyboards. Most current keyboards do not support typing by anyone meaning it. This is a perrty cool thing::: I think it will work great for "typewriter" mode: The carriage return works, As do the platen knobs. And the DELETE key is in the correct position....

Re: New feature scapple / scrivener

Thank you for your response.

And, thank you for the idea. How did I not think of that?

I am very looking forward to a new Scapple to equal the power of Scrivener.

And, is there a way, with the current beta, to add a Scapple's shortcut to the Scrivener menus?

What am i missing?

Automatic Backup: similar to auto-save.

I think the current backup function in Scrivener is the best of every program I have used.

Even better would be to add a timed automatic backup option similar to the auto-save function: timed and with date and time added.

Re: BEFORE POSTING...

Please fix the search to NOT be a find anything on the planet that even seems the same.

Searching for "Automatic Backup" should display ONLY the exact phrase.

49 pages of "results" makes no sense.

Re: New writing font for monospace lovers...

Many years ago I read some of the research about reading comprehension and speed as related to font selection, kerning, and line justification. It probably was in the 80s as computers were replacing typewriters. The conclusions: mono spaced, serif font, with no justification, always hit the highest ...

New feature scapple / scrivener

I want a button/link in scrivener that will open a scapple, save it to a folder in the project, and be saved with the current scrivener project.

First time use will create the "scapples" folder.... Which can be renamed to protect the idiots, if any are lurking.

feature change: re: taskbar icon: right click menu

For nearly every windows program, right clicking on the taskbar icon and then clicking on the third choice from bottom, eg the program's name, results in the creation of a new instance.

Scapple should do this..

Feature change: disable auto-save, make like scrivener

auto saving assumes no mistakes have been made. and that any deletions are intended to be forever. not a good assumption. Scrivener has the best save/backup function of every program i have used in nearly 40 years. Please add this to Scapple. Otherwise it requires too much attention to be useful, cu...

Customizable Context Menus

I will never use most everything on the right-click context menu that appears in the text window. Most of these items are functions i bet most people will seldom, if ever, use. And, like me, they will more likely look to find them on the main menu. I mostly use the context menu for spell checks. And...

Re: Loss of focus in the Binder when Spliting documents

I have read this thread, and others, and I get that this is "by design." I still don't get why it works the way it does. That the way it works now somehow improves my efficiency. That someone has a billion items in the binder is not a reason for it to not respond to the selection of the ed...
