Ctrl+V :: Changing function for Ctrl+V does not work. . . Can anyone confirm?

My default desire is for Ctrl+v to paste and match style. So, I remap the paste keys, reversing the functions. Results: COPIED From spreadsheet: Using five vertical cells, one column. Key commands: BOTH paste with original style spread sheet cell outline and font MENU: BOTH work as as expected with ...

Re: The plan: Ubuntu wine scrivener

Thank you for the responses. All helpful. Still dabbling. Would like to have a VPN utility to get to my main computer. And stuff like that. Been confronted with "MY documents" when saving. Really disappointing. 20+ years of the MY stupidity and it looks like it will never stop. Thought it ...

Re: BEFORE POSTING...

Thank you for your responses. There is no way to search for and find a specific term using what no longer is recognized: placing quote marks around the phrase used to search for the exact phrase. I search for "manual saving" and I get 271 "matches." Most do not have the exact phr...

Re: 32 bit or 64 bit

Thank you for the responses.

I have 32 bit and 64 bit computers. It is most easiest to use the same versions and bits level for all.

I am sure windows will run 32 bit for a long time.

Oh, to imagine I could create a project too big for the lowly 32 bit version of scrivener.

Re: The plan: Ubuntu wine scrivener

Thank yous for all your help:: Got it working. Ubuntu basic installation, WINE, scrivener, softmaker, and Fadein. Took two days to get linux installed. I tried to follow the instructions. There are bits missing about when to click what. Then, same with WINE. conflicting ideas about which version to ...

Feature request: disable auto save

I know this has been requested. Just giving a boost.

If autosave could be disabled I could use the program.

Without autosave, scapple would replace three other programs I use for project notes for me.

Is there a registry entry I could change?

Please give us a small update to fix this soon..

The plan: Ubuntu wine scrivener

The plan:

install ubuntu 18.04 lts

use wine32 to run Scrivener, Scapple, and a few other programs

Will I need to create a c: drive to install the windows programs?

Other considerations?

Re: Is Literature & Latte trying to force us to Mac's?

The windows' market is bigger than apple's. There is no other program like Scrivener.

Forum interface: Light grey on white is childish: Please change this.

"Light grey on white" is the equivalent of a 7 year old boy repeatedly jumping and exclaiming, "Look what I can do!" This is one of the cleverly stupid ideas that should have stayed an idea. "Light grey on white" Provides NO value to anyone. Mostly the opposite as it re...

"Can it not just be pinned to your task bar? "

The fewer bits a user has to know about a UI the better. having all related bits inside scrivener (one interface) the better the for the user.
